It is annoying i'll grant you that . Not a classic Bydgoszcz GP by any stretch of the imagination , not helped by over-watering during the meeting . Nicki Pedersen has all but wrapped up the title yet again .
The more i watch these GP's , the more i yearn for the good old one-off World Final .
True . Remember the big international we had at Shawfield in 1991 - England v Australia v Sweden . First running lasted about 3 heats Even back then the rain was intent on making sure we didn't see any speedway .
With 5 Aussies at Glasgow and a further 2 at Edinburgh , i'm just very disappointed that neither of the Scottish tracks were given one of the tests . It would have balanced things up giving Australia a home meeting .
Surely this series would have been better contested in Australia . With no league speedway to compete with it could be a cracking 5 meeting series over there .
On the Virgin menu on my telly Skysports 2 has -
13.00 Live European tour golf
17.00 WWE The bottom line
18.00 Live Grand Prix Speedway
So which is it to be 5 o clock or 6 o clock
Can he though . Apart from that freak performance at Cardiff 2007 , he hasn't remotely looked competative in GP's . Even his famous " aiming for 5 points " ambition , has looked beyond him recently .
I don't think it really matters if they " get on " or not . Nicki Pedersen and Hans Andersen haven't exactly been bosom buddies over the years , but it hasn't held them back .
Despite , somehow , winning the British GP last year Harris doesn't convince me as a GP rider . Don't know what Nicholls's problem is though .
Agreed . Nicholls kept a straight line to the bend , while Holta turned in on him in an effort to get a better angle for entering the bend . The only decision should have been all 4 back . To exclude Nicholls was totally baffling to everyone , apart from the Hungarian referee and a certain Mongol warrior .
That's very sad news . Willie was always more the Tiger out of the two brothers , and with him and Dougie being the uncles to the McMillan brothers - Scottish speedway had a real family feel to it when i was growing up in the seventies .
I said it was yet another slickfest of a GP . Then one of the mods put on their jackboots and removed it . Presumably because i posted it during the meeting , but as it was about heat 8 everyone would have been fast asleep or turned it over to see the lottery programme .
Anyway congratulations to the evil dane on his gating prowess .
I never thought i'd hear myself say this , but i actually agree with you .
I fully expect us to be good enough to qualify behind the Swedes . The Poles and the Russians wont be much of a threat at Vojens as they would be on certain other tracks .
