People can come up with as many excuses as they like , bottom line is - it's a one line track at the moment and if you gate and don't make a mistake you wont get passed . Bewley's , Lunna's and Perry's gating is pretty rank at the moment and try as they might , there's nothing in the track for them when they try to overtake opponents . Had Workington another quality heat leader to back Cook up they would have won comfortably . Thankfully our heat leaders can gate , apart from when Worrall penalised himself in heat 13 , and that got us home . Worky were solid , obviously Cook led the fight , but Jorgensen tried his best and Williamson rode well at reserve . The two second strings hadn't a last place between them which is all you can ask away from home . If it's to be a gating competition every week , then we'll have to get our set ups right . Lunna only gated whilst riding Summers' bike in heat 14 , and what a crucial win that was . The scoreline kept the meeting interesting , but heat 13 apart , it was a pretty dull affair . Stewart promised us entertainment , in his programme piece for the Scunthorpe meeting , we're still waiting .

That's the one

The move would be blocked by the SCB , that's happened before

Risager used to get slaughtered on here on a regular basis , cant see him returning
-
And he's not available either

Agree about Worrall , once he claims the number 1 race jacket he wont lose it again . He's been the standout and most consistent rider so far , but Richard isn't totally a gater , ok he's no Shane Parker slicing his way past opponents , but he has his moments , plus in today's speedway being an above average gater is a handy tool to have in your toolbox .

It's more the announcing that annoys me , doing texting for the updates site can be a pain when riders are making their way onto the track before the announcer has told us the line up .

He did , but he didn't enjoy trying to get round Armadale much . -
Berwick V Scunthorpe Championship 22/4/17@7-00pm

Berwick are better than their results suggest . If they can get Bridger riding like a number 1 , then they'll be too strong for Scunthorpe . -
First clash comes on June 16th when Edinburgh are at home to Ipswich and Rye are at Belle Vue . I'm sure Edinburgh will be upset if the terms in which they've signed a rider changes .

You get fed up with this Brit stuff . Must a club have to make do with an under performing rider just because he's British ?
-
Think the way it works - when a rider is an asset of neither club , the one who had signed the rider first gets priority , in this case - Edinburgh .

If you're not doing it there's every chance you'll be replaced , nationality doesn't come into it . If Clegg doesn't give himself a shake , he might not be at Edinburgh much longer either .

After last week's big April shower that was a Berwick fan , the hope is we've ordered some sunshine for this weekend . 5 o clock start though because of some tribal gathering somewhere else in our great city gives us more time in the pub . We'll be along the usual lines , best heat leader trio in the league , plus the most exciting young talent backing them up will entertain us royally once again . And they'll have to as Workington have a fair bit of talent in their side too . They are led by the stand out rider in the league , ex Monarch bogeyman Craig Cook ( funny how they don't seem quite as obnoxious once they leave Armadale ) and he's backed up by Ty Proctor and Tommy the tape toucher . Add to that they have the best 10k Glasgow ever made ( Mason Campton ) , and another ex-Tiger , Adam Roynon , in their ranks , it should be an interesting early evening , though I think we'll win this by round about 12 or 14 points .

That was a brilliant race , as was Gappmaier versus Lunna in heat 14

Richie Worrall has started the season very well and looks set fair to be Glasgow's number 1 for the rest of the season . In fact both Worrall twins have started the season impressively .
