Surely MCC should take this up with the contractors and demand they pay up for cost of rectifying the problem.DG is no fool and its been well documented he had proof that bends three and four weren't built to spec.Think MCC are not handling this well at all.

Phil I think he wants to know where you get this inside info from if you are just a regular fan.If the deal is signed for new ownership why not announce it officially and put an end to all this speculation.

So the council are going to pick the new promoters from a list of at least three interested parties.But what are they going to do about the stadium which isn't yet finished.You can hardly justify calling it the National Speedway Stadium with no terracing on the South Stand.With the little snippets of info we are now learning the council failed in building a 6000 capacity stadium ready for the start of last season.Gordon and Morton were left to pick up the tab for temp terracing which meant they had no chance of making a go of promoting the Aces properly.The whole thing has been a farce from day one and one would hope that lessons have been learned and the new promoters get a chance to promote what is still one of the biggest clubs in speedway.IMO not terracing the south stand would be a massive mistake and would affect crowd levels.

I wouldn't have been happy taking over a stadium that wasn't built correctly (the third and fourth bends) and wasn't finished on time. The terracing on the south stand was only temporary and has since been removed.Surely its up to MCC to now make sure the build is finished to spec so that the new promoters don't encounter the same problems as DG and Mort did.p

I wouldn't call a track not being built to spec a snag.MCC and the contractors were responsible for delivering this on time.

Leave Belle Vue for Poole no thanks .Why race on a notoriously dodgy track after racing on the best race track in the country? It would be like leaving Old Trafford for Bournemouth never gonna happen!

Stevebrum I think Fricke winning the world u 21 title surely gives him the edge over Masters.He is like you say very good in Poland and Sweden and regarding his UK average he missed a lot of home meetings for BV.Max may have done well at the world cup but for getting injured.

Don't think Masters is better than Fricke.But agree he his a very promising young rider.

Bwitcher if you didn't have a problem with the announcer personally why post he was trying to incite the crowd?He wasn't you would be daft to think he was.

Got to laugh at the announcer was enticing the crowd bit.It was done very much tounge in cheek how anyone can think differently needs to lighten up it was all part of a great speedway meeting.

Fantastic meeting again well done Wolves.But how lucky are BV fans to watch racing at the NSS every week.

Tungate a cert to ride at BV if Poole beat Wolves.Could see this coming ages ago.Its all about winning apparently.

There isn't another promotion in the country that could persuade their local council to build a project like the NSS.Some are more bothered about winning at all cost a trophy which after what's gone on recently is tarnished.

Never been a fan of the play offs.A team which tops the league should be champions.It really does seem like a separate cup competition at the end of the season to me.The Swedish play off system seems silly and I don't think they will keep it.If you have to dream up gimmicks to try to make things more exciting then it loses credibility imo

Watching the match back on TV there was a big glass fronted stand on the back straight is this open for speedway fans and what are the plans to redevelop the stadium?
