  1. Look forward to seeing the new you, BFD. Hope you haven't changed too much though!
  2. Thanks for the link, Rob 3. Lee and Kyle Legault are both doing well!
  3. Certainly is, BFD. There seems to be a never-ending stream of really good talent coming out of OZ these days.
  4. Selective in printing all that he said, I note. You really are a sad individual. No sour grapes from Chris at all if you read the whole article: CHRIS Holder has admitted Leigh Adams is the “leader of the pack” after he cleaned up convincingly in the Australian Championships. The Pirates star had to settle for third place in the final round at Adelaide on Saturday, but it was enough to clinch him second spot overall behind Adams. Adams has now won a record-breaking 10 national titles, and Holder, who had been the defending champion, said: “I was happy with the overall result because it was always going to be tough to beat Leigh. “He was flying from the first round. If I got second that was pretty much the best I could do. “I had to beat Rory Schlein, who was only a couple of points behind me going into the last round. I had to beat him and make sure no-one else beat me as well. “When I’d got to the final in Adelaide, Leigh had already won the title anyway. So it was just trying to stay in second place.” Asked if it was just a case of holding your hands up to Adams and admitting he was too good, Holder said: “Pretty much. “Leigh was on fire. He was easily the best rider. I was just happy I was the next one behind him. “He’s so dominant in Aussie because he’s done quite a few laps over the years! He’s at home and a bit more relaxed. “Leigh knows he can ride any sort of track. He just rides really well over here. He’s not riding on second-hand equipment. He’s riding all his best stuff and just does the job.” Poole Castle Cover’s star, speaking from Down Under, added: “Leigh has become the most well-known rider in Aussie and everyone seems to like him. He takes the time and effort to come back and ride and he has done it for years. “To win 10 Aussie titles is an awesome achievement and everyone looks up to him. “He’s pretty committed to coming back here and puts a lot back into Australian speedway.” Holder went his closest to beating Adams in the three-round series when he led him for almost three laps in heat 18 at Adelaide. But Adams got past and then reeled off his 18th victory in 18 races in the final when he was followed home by Troy Batchelor, Holder and Davey Watt. “
  5. I notice also that the Polish Leagues have abolished the Double Tac Sub rides for 2009. While here, we have just reverted to two double tac subs from the gate. Grrr!
  6. Which team has Scott NIcholls signed for? Cannot see his name!
  7. Did Scott Nicholls agree to a lower amount of money or he is getting the "silly money" he was asking for?
  8. I read in the article in the SS in which Harris said he had lost a lot of money riding in the GPs this year and would not accept a seeded place for 2009 if he was offered one! To put the matter straight, Holder wasn't sure he had the finances in place to ride in the GPs yet, but he said if he was offered a place, then he would accept it.
  9. You are correct, Sandie. Chris Holder did say he wasn't sure if he had the money or the right back-up team to do the GPs, but he said that if he was offered a seeded place, then he would take it. (He would be silly to turn it down IF he is offered a place IMO, because I'm sure he would increase his sponsorship to help him financially.) We will have to wait and see.
  10. AAh! Thanks, ZKZkitten. I don't think any of us spotted that. They probably will be the seeded places though!
  11. The last time I looked Chris Holder was 9th in the Polish averages, with Hans Andersen 14th and Scott Nicholls in 27th place! So it isn't just over here that Chris can do well. His time will come for the Gps, but I would like to see him get a couple of the Wild Cards as he hasn't got a seeded place.
  12. It just wasn't his day, Orion! Had a dubious exclusion (according to someone on here who was there) and two efs. Just wasn't to be. His turn will come, I am sure.
  13. Well done Chris on winning three League titles this season in three different countries - Sweden, England and Poland. What a brilliant year for such a young rider!
  14. OK, jb, no problem. It's all a bit of a farce anyway, isn't it?
  15. Kasprzak didn't qualify last year! The three qualifiers were Iversen, Dryml and (Bjarne) Pedersen. KK was given a seeded place on the strength of his League form and scoring a maximum in the World Cup.
  16. Lindback also qualified on merit originally, when there were only two places given in the Final of the Qualifiers.
  17. Not to mentiion Jason Crump, who was not happy that the GP went to Tomasz' home track, especially since there had already been one at the same track only a month previously - and I can see his point.
