Is that the same Peterborough that are riding at Poole tonight without him?
-
Are the Coventry riders Chris Harris & Adam Roynon any relation to the riders of the same names who rode for Birmingham two days ago at Wolverhampton? Or even the Chris Harris (Berwick) & Adam Roynon (Redcar).......

The line-ups make me think its more suited to be called a Tribute Night featuring "Luke Becker & The Double-Ups" performing with "Chris Harris & The Guests"..... with the guests tbc! Had it been Coventry then the band could be "Chris Harris & The Selecter". -
And even some of the posh Cradley gals had them as well

Couldn't Chris Harris have been a guest #1???

As someone who has driven / travelled to away matches for over 50 years following the Wolves; I have reached a breaking point where the Motorway infrastructure and constant lane closures etc, combined with Speedway promoters destroying team support / allegiance does not inspire me to book online at an extra cost to get a car park facility that I can't guarantee getting there to take up. I find the Speedway promoters' inability to delight the customer amazing. My mates don't.... they stopped travelling years ago and now cherry pick the home meetings as well. Yes I'm a "pay at the gate Dinosaur"who doesn't care for the new trend of needing a 'blue card' to get two quid off at Edinburgh, a mobile phone App to go to a Cardiff GP or to get caught full price for an old programme with an insert! What's next.... a centre green presenter with a monkey???? Now that would give me a hissy fit

Thank you all for this information. Looks like a revisit to Cowley will not figure in my speedway plans for this year.

Can we have special 'Chris Harris' and 'Scott Nicholls' scratch cards that have their photo on it and every teams race jackets. Then when they guest for each team we can mark off the jacket's! Also there was the special cards that toggled two pictures as you moved it. So the Sam Masters card could show an Edinburgh race jacket in one view and a Wolves in the other!

3, most expensive car parking???

Nah much better with the cheese triangle, biscuit & the pickled onion in the packet!

No go for me either. I get "This attachment is not available..." on both phone and tablet.
-
And from a riders perspective it's the transition period from being a hobby / sport to a job / business.

'81 was National League when Hans Nielsen?? / Dam McCormick / CVS?? decided it was better to run Birmingham in the top division and stuff Wolves! '82 '83 Wolves were shut until the Pete Adams revival.

Is that because it's 1 mile from the Villa ground and 3.5 mile from the Albion ground?
-
...And have a rider called 'Moonlight' Graham?
-
I keep hearing that Belle Vue are chasing a young Aussie that lives in Perth???

As a youngster I loved the Wright Wood piccys and the Craven and Hyde Rd classics are still on my living room wall (and I'm a Wolves fan!). In later years I was amazed by the quality of action pics in the Arena Essex programmes, you could count the wheel spokes with ease. Apologies for not knowing the name of the photographer.

Maido could work wonders with a bag of sawdust!

I think we are on the same wavelength? It was certainly important to be served before him to ensure the optimum choice was available at that late time in the evening! .

It's the amount of new cut and paste postings in one go that causes the issues. Could you consider putting them up on the anniversary of the riders passing or their birthday. A more appropriate time for reflection.

Wimbledon Memories: 1: having beer(s) in the Corner Pin. 2: eating in the local chippy and chatting with Arthur Nutley. 3: 1970: Jimmy Ogisu at the Internationale. 4: disappointment that Ronnie Green couldn't pronounce Ivan Mauger''s name correctly. 5: getting lost on the way (pre sat navigation era!). Spotted bikes on a trailer. Followed it. Car stopped and it was Ivan Mauger. He got out and he said, "if you are following me, I'm visiting the people I stayed with when I first came to England. If you hang on 15 mins then I will go to Plough Lane!" 6: pulling onto the car park and the attendant said that Keith Moon had died. My mate in the car said, "Who". Wolves won!

Perhaps 'cynical' average manipulation to keep Douglas at reserve for the play offs would have been enough to negate the Dad's Army strength at reserve?

Perhaps Tai could ride all home meetings for Wolves on a Monday.... and then all Belle Vue home meetings on a Thursday.... it could be called 'doubling up' to help the BSPA (L) to maintain the sports integrity.
