Yes that has and will continue to happen - and not good. But last year, for example, Scunthorpe running a side way below the points limit and basically all three point riders denied three heat leaders a place in a fully functioning NL side so a MINIMUM points limit will mean (if it happens...) that a side in the NL can't just pick rookies so that'll be overall good news.
-
You appear to have misunderstood! A minimum points limit will give better opportunities to big scorers.. It's a too low MAXIMUM points limit which most adveresly affects big scorers!
-
Having a minimum points limit is an important thing to achieve an all round more competitive league. What Scunthorpe did last year was no good for anyone

'Seemingly not' was a question - I was giving you the benefit of the doubt.

Indeed. Trainees impressing last winter at Rye House had perhaps only the two Kent Kings' reserve berths to aim for - only one place at the start of the year actually. Consequently whilst Danny Ayres got his place (and made it his own), Jason Garrad could only get an NL spot at CP at the expense of Luke Harris. Think how different it is now with team slots available at Rye itself. And then there's still Kent, plus Eastbourne and the NT team of Lakeside's. Huge incentive for youngsters and newcomers training at RH right now.

Does that include being professional enough to know the correct use of the apostrophe? Seemingly not?

And he was co-promoter at Crayford as well as being promoter at Rye a couple of years later too..!

I dont think he has...

Well considering you never post anything on here other than to abuse other posters - are you saying you didn't sends a threatening PM or not? It's the presence of folk like you on this Forum which has utterly destroyed the reputation of this website as a credible place for debate and discussion.

You should be ashamed of yourself making such a truly pathetic comment. Do you actually understand anything about the sport?
-
Has it been confirmed that they were competing LAST season!!!
-
Rob Watts was almost ever-present for the Raiders in the MDL thi year so I'd imagine will be in their NL side next year.
-
Are there any more Dragons meetings before the end of the year?
-
What you have heard is incorrect. I go every week and crowds have not reduced at all this year from last season. Who told you that they had?
-
Eastbourne joining; Lakeside entering a team; possibly IoW rejoining; Plymouth maybe moving down; a joint Tyne-Tees team; Rye House Raiders returning. Could mean an NL of 14 teams in 2015...?
-
Not really. When push comes to shove, the Play Off match without a date is the NL one and when Coventry have an away EL match (even as important as the EL Play Off Final) can't forever determine when they set a date for the NL meeting. The NL Play Off Final leg at Coventry SHOULD obviously be this coming Friday -Friday being the Storm's race night. I know Cradley fans will protest that this would mean Steve Worrall missing it, so I suppose if that pressure is applied the meeting will be on Monday 27th. - just 24 hours after the heavy toll of the National Fours on the Brandon track.. Ideal? I don't reckon so..
-
Well I WAS at that meeting and I guess it did last about three hours ( wasn't actually checking my watch) - but there were many crashes and injury-related delays. Similar in fact to a meeting I went to at Glasgow earlier this season. If people think three hours when there are injury delays is so exceptional as to appear on a thread entitled 'longest meeting' then I'd suggest they don't get out to many Speedway meetings at all. Some of the double headers at the previous league side called Sittingbourne were the longest I can remember. Starting at midday and often struggling to meet the curfew of 5pm!

I've heard mentioned it would be a Newcastle/Redcar shared side - with a great name Tyne-Tees. Would be a terrific idea as fills such a huge gap for riders in the north and indeed Scotland. The Raiders is rather different - there could be major issues of rider shortage if we're talking Kent, Easty, IoW, Arena Essex AND RH..
-
The changes have been on the Kent Kings website for AE earlier this week and for Kent this morning. Do you lot never look at the website?
-
Do you think? I'd say it's kinda unlikely cos of the Kent connection. theyd simply not be enough riders to go around this many NL clubs in the south east
