  1. Plenty of other teams have gone into vital matches without key riders (eg Kent's vital last away match at King's Lynn clashed with a workington Pl match so club captain Simon Lambert unavailable) - so why shouldn't Cradley once in a while?
  2. Not sure that's wholly accurate. Scunthorpe still proved very poor visitors to all tracks they went to save Buxton and I can't imagine you'll find many promoters/chairmen from the other NL clubs who'd welcome a repeat of the Stags' 'experiment'.
  3. Er, last match so make that ONLY win!! Seriously though, massive well done. Finally the club recognised the need to win a match - hence Perks in at reserve and taking six rides. That's what clubs are MEANT to do - try and win!!
  4. Squad idea is good - not right the number of guests theres been in the nl this year. The problem with 'dodging fixture clashes' is it leads to probs getting nl fixtures completed by the cut off
  5. Or a very good impersonater he says! A very poor impersonation I'd say!
  6. Ellis Perks in for the Stags! At last a genuine NL heat leader class rider in their ranks! If Ellis takes six rides here they could win this.
  7. There had been a Race Day (organised by Ride n Slide) during the day on Friday on the Brandon track - which probably goes some way to explaining the conditions
  8. Buy a programme - I'm sure they can't be all that expensive.
  9. Maybe, but "hurl abuse from the terraces and I'll jump over and kick you" as Eric Cantona did may also seem fair enough in one regard but it didn't stop him getting a long ban. It's NOT the law of the jungle when a professional, regulated sport is concerned. It would seem all but certain that bans are going to be handed out in this case too. Is Clegg also going to face a hearing for his actions in heat 20 of the NLRC?
  10. Sarjeant's unacceptable behaviour has been tolerated for too long. He went to attack in the pits a Kent reserve who had the affrontry to beat him in a meeting at Central Park It was swept(sorry for the sweeping allusion!) under the carpet then, but last night shows it's not right to turn a blind eye to such behaviour as it's bound to rear up again.
  11. Would imagine Devon highly unlikely - they'd have to resolve all the Planning probs which I can't see them even attempting to. Scunny though a certainity.
  12. Is it still on for Rye on the 11th.? No mention of it on their website where it seems to be saying that the NLRC on this Sunday will be bringing the curtain down on the season there?
  13. Fairly daft response... I know the town as I live there. The fact is the housing estate near to the stadium is NOT large and is surrounded by an industrial estate.
  14. Thanks. I hope someone at Stoke tells the BSPA then to get it on the fixtures listing otherwise they might struggle for a crowd!
  15. Is this fixture at Stoke on Sunday definitely on then? It does not figure on the BSPA site's list of fixtures and - presumably as a result of that - isn't listed in this week's Star either as a fixture for this Sunday? With no active Stoke website difficult to establish from Stoke if it's on..?!
  16. This is the BSF (discussion forum) not a source for factual stuff like team news, updates or results! There are plenty of other places for that.
  17. Not on the BSPA website yet.. Which is odd
  18. As a matter of interest why would anyone think a meeting wasn't on just because no thread about it on here?
  19. And let's hope if they do, they learn how to use the apostrophe rather better than you have!
  20. According to article in last week's Star, Plymouth have said they'll be no more Devon home matches until AFTER the Devils have finished their PL matches, which means - if this is to be the case, and planning restrictions make it basically certain to be so - that none of Coventry Storm, Stoke, Mildenhall and King's Lynn Young Stars will get to ride at Devon before the Sept 14th. deadline for play off qualification....
  21. Many thanks Dorothy - the other ryan is Ryan Morris. Cheers, BB
  22. Couple of 'second half' races straight after the meeting today - looked like six different riders involved in them? Anyone able to identify who they were? A shame they didn't get announced considering they were riding in proper races...
  23. Well not enough from you to go - just you stay on your settee sniping at everything.
