  1. Traffic jams around the Almondsbury interchange excepted.
  2. Only if you promise to knock your loathing of the Rebels on the head? Think I'm safe there then! The meeting has just got harder for the Rebels with it being announced R/R for Pontus. Looking forward to welcoming Josh back although hope he doesn't score too freely. This has the makings of being a very close meeting, probably the stiffest test so far. Would not like to say who will come out on top. Hope you Workington fans have a safe and pleasant journey down. No doubt it will be two trips in consequetive weeks for you lot. Think Workington stand a very good chance in the pairs (yet again).
  3. Ha ha. Not known for my speed (kinetic or supply). Had been torrential with thunder and lightning from late morning to mid afternoon. The back garden was waterlogged which is a certain sign of a lot of rain. The track would have been way beyond raceable. Hopefully both teams will be at full strength when they finally meet.
  4. Damn it. Was hoping I could get around to starting this topic off as it is one of the highlight meetings of the season for me - my childhood home town team versus my adulthood hometown team. After the Bandits 2013 season it is refreshing to see a new look, more ambitious team who seem to be holding their own with some good results so far and arguably looking stronger as the season continues. It is a shame that they come to the OTA depleted so if the Rebels do take the win it will be considered an expectation rather than a result. Looking forward to seeing Vissng on track again, wonder boy Jensen and some good racing. Hopefully the Highbridge microclimate works in our favour.
  5. You are absolutely correct. Should have said "Now it is the difference in this particular meeting". After a reasonably good show on the road (other than this one) this came as a big shock. Hopefully this is not the start of us going off the rails. As a speedway supporter I like to see a good competitive meeting so always hope that the Rebels can provide this for the away teams home supporters. Not so in this particular case, not even a "the scoreline didn't reflect the quality of the racing". Just a pretty dire performance from Somerset. Hopefully Rye can give us a decent meeting tonight. I'll be there.
  6. Last year it was around 40 for a score away from home. Now it is the difference! Will be interested in what the excuses are tomorrow? Was looking forward to seeing how we do on the road. Now I'm not. Really really poor show.
  7. So you are just the chauffeur on your trips for b4e to support the Bandits then and support the opposition? I have to say that despite being a Rebels supporter that I still like to see the Bandits doing well apart from at the OTA of course.
  8. Nearly. Drop the first 'e' and move the 'r' to after the 'g'. Aspgren!
  9. Well at least you have one decent team to co-support?
  10. I'll trade you a few 'of's' for 'off's' if you like. However I'm definately not trading you any 'have's' for 'of's' because that is just not right. It is not much fun as a spectator either but what do you do? It would be nice if away teams could give us a bit of a test and some decent racing rather than falling asleep. Will be interesting when the Rebels get out on the road a bit more although it will be July/August before we really get stuck in by which time teams will have resolved their issues.
  11. Redcar could have made good use of them last night. We might have had a bit of a meeting on then.
  12. Had me in a panic there with the thread title. Thought Hinkley Point had had a meltdown.
  13. Okay, thanks for that. I was on the right kind of line then. That is really what I meant by "unbelievable".
  14. Can you enlighten me as to what this is about? If I remember correctly he had an unbelievable no show last year but don't know the story behind it.
  15. Good to hear. I would recommend the pairs if you can make it. Great atmosphere and great format. Would think the Panthers pair would be there or thereabouts.
  16. Great to hear about the progress Ricky is making. Keeping everything crossed for more good news in the future. Best wishes to the Ashworth family and friends.
  17. 66% - home team, away team but no date!Good luck with the exams.
