Glad to see you’re adhering to the positivity request at the beginning of this thread……..lol

Just like most of the people who post on here………..lol. (not directed at you jenga)

Nothing to stop you applying then………lol Well, at least you did say “ in your opinion”…… Yeah, we need a manager who can keep a cool head…….Rossco??? lol lol lol……..aye, right!

What then?……clash of personalities?……or being guilty of what you think have been a few wrong decisions? The management seem to think he’s ok and the team appeared to get on well with him……..and before you allude to the old chestnut of his sponsorship as the reason he’s in the position……..”we” don’t know what that involves. He’s a passionate fan who had to fill the shoes of the previous, very good, team manager, who though, didn’t ALWAYS get it right. Who would you have in his place?…..and please don’t say Michael Max as I firmly believe he already has massive input to team decisions.

Exactly Blobby…….gets really boring listening to the Cook haters prattling on and on and on at every opportunity. Same with the Cami haters…..I’m fed up with this football type “we didn’t win….sack the manager” kinda crap. Loads of teams don’t win so let’s sack all their managers, eh?……….Nonsense!

Not even with your barge pole I would think Lisa-colette…….lol

Disappointed that this can actually happen. I think commitments should be fulfilled despite the reasons assumed…… but like you Noelinho, I can understand it from Glasgow’s perspective. -
Ulrich has been great for speedway over the years and has done a sterling job for Glasgow in the last two. Wishing him all the best for the future. I think he’s doing the right thing at the right time….although I know he’s gonna really miss it.

Can’t agree about Basso’s away performance. Hasn’t been THAT bad in the CL meetings he competed in…..11+2 (5) 9+2 (4) 6+2 (4) 8 (5) 5+3 (4) 5+1 (4) 9 (5) -

Methinks deep down Davie 10 would like to touch it again……….lol -
A fair bit of sense spoken here Fromafar……..BUT……..I’ve got to say I’ve watched a good few meetings over the years, especially in the 60’s that have been run in dreadful conditions….(sawdust and overalls come to mind) and it was not nice to watch at all. Speedway should be spectacular and if a track is really greasy it is anything but. Regarding the throttle working both ways (I hate that saying), modern bikes are totally different from old uprights and react totally differently. Try throttling off when in full flight on a bend and see where it gets you……..through the fence, that’s where. For me, it’s a very fine line between continuing with a meeting or abandoning it. I thought Sunday would have turned into a disaster had it continued and that the correct decision was made. As far as speedway being spectacular is concerned…..it was never going to be on Sunday. Having said that though…….it wasn’t yesterday either……lol

You are so spot on MD……..that is certainly not a racers track as proven by what you say. We were beaten fair and square by being out gated and/or swamped on the first and second bends. After that, there are no passing lines on that God awful track. No chance of pulling that back but at least we’ll see some speedway RACING in the return leg. -
If they’re doing everything possible to get their full team back….then why not just call off the meeting due to impending rain instead of going through this elaborate rigmarole?…….AND……what was pulling the “magic wheel” if there was no tractor on track? We know you hate everything Glasgow…..so, should we really be listening to your opinion?

Can’t see John Campbell et al totally throwing in the towel though. Hopefully there’s some way forward that’s not apparent at the moment. -

Lol…….Leopards and spots….and old dogs and new tricks come to mind……… -
Lol……I saw that after checking myself…….he DID have an off in his first outing though. Don’t know if that was the cause of his bad performance. Also, looking back, I see Starkey got 8+1 from five the last time he was there with Oxford. Ruml got 8 from seven in the same meeting………I think I’ve made my mind up now…..lol
