Belle Vue V Lakeside 2nd Leg September 26
bigcatdiary replied to Vincent Vega's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
When Sky opened on Poole they said the queues had been long since 5.00pm and the place was rammed, the accompanying pictures just seemed to confirm that, then they switched to Lakeside and made no comments about crowds at all and the camera pictures showed hardly anyone there. It was in total contrast to Poole but if your saying it was a good crowd you would surely know, clearly just well spread out. -

Because every decision is based on who is asking the question, their never has been any consistency or common sense applied to any decisions. They initially stopped Cook from riding for Peterborough because of "supposedly same race nights for his EL and PL teams" but of course Bewley riding for Belle Vue and Edinburgh was fine. -

We live in hope, perhaps then clubs might remember to get these matches arranged earlier. Still finished higher than Scunthorpe but let's be fair that's not hard is it. -

Lakeside Vs Belle Vue, 21/9/16...
bigcatdiary replied to Ace no.5's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not a great meeting, it's complete and utter pants, they only passes are after mistakes, Nilsson looked super quick when he starts and useless of a shocking gate four. -
To be fair Phil it's more likely to be whether we believe it or not.

Peterborough Panthers 2017
bigcatdiary replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
We have one of the best supporters clubs in either league and have helped Ged Rathbone a lot this year, I don't think his main problem is financial. -
I rather suspect a lot of supporters would like to see the BSPA & MC decisions more transparent and might I add consistent but their complete indifference to inform their supporters has played a big part in how the sport is viewed today. Poole haven't cheated in this affair but not for the first appear to have been treated very favourably and in complete contrast to certain other clubs. Let's be fair the SCB as a body appear to have very little say in what happens with speedway in the UK.

And of course we only have your word for that. -
Are you serious - the EL is not a level playing field and some teams have built in advantages over others !!!!! It never ever has been a level playing field that's why the sport lurches from one disaster to another and is in the mess it's in, massive self interest MC and BSPA, spineless SCB and a complete joke of a rulebook which enables the 8th best rider currently in the world to get his average reduced by nearly a point so he can sign for Poole to enable them to win the EL title yet again.

New Scb Chief Officer Announced.
bigcatdiary replied to SteveLyric2's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
It will be interesting to see if anything changes within the SCB going forward but unfortunately the BSPA just continue to make one unbelievable decision after another. Who on earth made the decision to assess one of the current best riders in the world from 7.94 to 7.00, when their own rules set a precedent of 8.00. Good television it will undoubtably be with sky rubbing it's hands but it's quite amazing that the sport continues to make itself look completely incompetent yet again and adds fuel to the fire of its many critics. -
Peterborough Panthers V Rye House - 12/9
bigcatdiary replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Certainly strange that Rye didn't put Branford in heat 14 or even give him extra rides bearing in mind how quick he looked against some of his team mates. -
Speedway Referee Numbers In Decline
bigcatdiary replied to Dickie Head's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Are you serious, paid, I used to get more an hour than they get for a match, the pay is ridiculous. A referee friend of mine says he just about covers his petrol money with his fee and expenses, never mind he can spend a whole day travelling to and from a match. -

Until we know exactly what the format, points limit etc is no one can do anything. -

And the reason he is no longer at Peterborough is because he wasn't banging in big scores for us, especially away from home. -

Yes but Lakeside are pretty poor, Wolves are a different animal completely. -

I can see Poole missing out this year, bad time to collect injuries and both Wolves and Belle Vue now look better
