Panthers Vs Tigers 10/6/16

The bar prices are ridiculous and so is the food, we bring our own drinks and not unsurprisingly quite a few of the regulars do the same. -

Clutch cable problem, I spoke to his dad afterwards Good match and a good result, but it certainly wasn't easy. Just need to get NBJ bikes going, he looked well under power again last night. -
Criminal threatening (or threatening behavior) is the crime of intentionally or knowingly putting another person in fear of bodily injury. "Threat of harm generally involves a perception of injury...physical or mental damage...act or instance of injury, or a material and detriment or loss to a person." Abusive behaviour is mainly verbal and although clearly not pleasant especially when minors are around doesn't generally make the person being abused feel threatened with violence. (Name calling and swearing etc)

Threat To The Elite League
bigcatdiary replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I see an amalgamation of the leagues has been mentioned a few times but people should bear in mind half the PL currently ride in the EL now so where are the extra riders coming from?. I still think if the leagues ride on different nights and anyone can double up or down irrespective of average would solve a lot of the current problems. -

Nothing cloudy about it, if the Match at Ipswich is off its no facility on Friday. -
Apparently you can if the two clubs are Edinburgh and Belle Vue.

Cook rides for Panthers as BV don't have a meeting on the 10th. -
Signing Barker improves the Witches but let's not forget he was dropped by Glasgow for poor performances. Remains to be seen if he gets his form back, just not convinced Foxhall is his sort of track.

Peterborough Panthers 2016
bigcatdiary replied to mudflaps's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
To be fair I think everyone thought no 7,s stayed at no 7 regardless of average but the BSPA decided otherwise. -
Being fair that wasn't a bad meeting, clearly the track being wet helped enormously, The interviews of Cook and Adams were amusing as well. But the telling comment came from Tatum who stated riders generally don't like riding at Lakeside, looking at the fact no one appeared to be there I think that goes for spectators as well.

A very good point, good our rulebook isn't it. -
Thorsell cannot ride PL this year as his 2016 EL starting average is above 6.00

To be fair I thought Vardy did a good job yesterday and I think a warning was on the money for those transgressions. Let's be fair the difference between referees has always been light years, some good, some average, some bad and Horley who truly beggars belief at times. -

Good match with Panthers looking in control throughout. As for the start of heat 13, how the referee didn't pull that back beggars belief, both the scorpions got flyers -
Heat 15, Who Can Replace A Rider Who Breaks The Tapes?
bigcatdiary replied to erniew's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Changed for this year Reserves or another eligible rider In the right circumstances that could be anyone else, doesn't make a lot of sense but then that's our rulebook -

Another rule change from last year A rider committing a starting offence can be replaced by a reserve or another qualified rider. -
Unfortunately despite a lot of talk and a few PR it's been the same old same old BSPA with nothing really changing. BV opening night, the EDR averages cock up followed by the Cook and Hall decisions. We will see what the winter brings but I am not holding my breath.

No the main problem is Leicester riding home matches on Saturdays, which means they are seriously hampered by the availability of riders wanting to ride in the EL who are involved with GP,s and FIM meetings etc. If they rode midweek the situation would improve, providing of course Leicester pay the appropriate rates. Poles being recalled by their Polish Club has been a problem for years but until riders put two fingers up to these clubs nothing will change although the problem isn't as common as it once was. If Hemsley was as bright as people say he would have realised this years ago, Saturday nights are for PL only.

Not complicated, Are you serious, Perhaps you would like to explain how so many Promoters, team managers and even referees get it wrong on a weekly basis. It's a complete crock of s--t.

Peterborough V Ipswich Plc Sunday 22nd May
bigcatdiary replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Okay perhaps classics was a bit over the top but both meetings were good to watch with good racing and they were very entertaining. I would much sooner watch that than a 60-30 drubbing every week but I suppose it's personal taste. Interesting that some of the Ipswich comments were they were not bothered about losing, their was more than the odd comment made about King sitting on the track after crashing in heat 15 whilst the rain poured down hoping that the referee would call it their and then. Glad to see he wasn't hurt though that would have took much of the gloss off a good comeback. -

Interesting fact that this match and the last one against Sheffield were both raced on what is accepted were fairly slick Alwalton tracks and both matches have been classics.
