Sounds like Cook thinks the same after his comments on the mike according to updates. -

And over the last few years the fans have been voting with their feet which is why it's strange that clubs still do it, clearly the organisers must be thick biased or both. -

And that is most likely to be the overriding factor, never mind that the whole thing is supposed to entertain the paying supporter it's a guaranteed 3 points and almost guarantees Lakeside to make the play offs. As for everything else they get stuffed, entertainment value zero, away fan attraction zero, passing fan attraction zero. And while this sort of mentality continues amongst promoters this sport will just continue on its downward spiral, I dare say in a few weeks times Cook and others will again be bleating at the lack of support. Most cannot see the wood from the trees. And next week the GP circus rolls into Cardiff, all the top riders, entertainment, fan zones, razzmatazz and the turnout from the supporters, numbers of which the BSPA can only dream about. -

Whilst I don't doubt that some fault for the circumstances could be attributed to both clubs the fact remains that this whole situation does nothing for the credibility of the EL, which is at deaths door as it is. As a spectacle it won't attract many Poole fans to attend (if any) and won't attract many passing fans either, so it's likely to be a poor attendance and with Poole basically being pretty weakened it's looking like a big payday for the Lakeside team which then impacts on the wages bill for Jon Cook. Remind me who wins in this situation. -
Somerset V Peterborough Koc Qf - 28th June

Glad it cheered you up, after the season you have had so far I would be on suicide watch. Saddled with 5pt averages that both are making a mockery of, nothing courageous about it, May did his homework. A very very good side with Allen in particular another Brady Kurtz in the making. -
The clue is in the cap he was wearing at the end of the meeting.

He picked up drive, just a racing incident nothing more. Very good meeting with some excellent racing. -
I would imagine no one is happy at this and I dare say the BSPA are not going to be impressed either as this is seriously bringing the sport into disrepute.

What on earth is wrong with Barker this year, he has been complete pants away from home but that top four should be doing better than this. -
Correct, Hemsley is just trying to muddy the waters.
-
I can only agree, fully deserved his win and a really nice guy as well.
-
Correct, don't you remember Peterborough being stopped from signing Thorsell last year on exactly that point.

The bar prices are ridiculous and so is the food, we bring our own drinks and not unsurprisingly quite a few of the regulars do the same. -

Clutch cable problem, I spoke to his dad afterwards Good match and a good result, but it certainly wasn't easy. Just need to get NBJ bikes going, he looked well under power again last night. -
Criminal threatening (or threatening behavior) is the crime of intentionally or knowingly putting another person in fear of bodily injury. "Threat of harm generally involves a perception of injury...physical or mental damage...act or instance of injury, or a material and detriment or loss to a person." Abusive behaviour is mainly verbal and although clearly not pleasant especially when minors are around doesn't generally make the person being abused feel threatened with violence. (Name calling and swearing etc)

Threat To The Elite League
bigcatdiary replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I see an amalgamation of the leagues has been mentioned a few times but people should bear in mind half the PL currently ride in the EL now so where are the extra riders coming from?. I still think if the leagues ride on different nights and anyone can double up or down irrespective of average would solve a lot of the current problems. -

Nothing cloudy about it, if the Match at Ipswich is off its no facility on Friday. -
Apparently you can if the two clubs are Edinburgh and Belle Vue.
