I have absolutely no problem with budget speedway but teams need to be competitive, if he isn’t willing to run teams up to the required level in the Premier League then run them in the Championship where the costs are a lot lower Teams need to be at the very least competitive, that way you ensure good support and confidence levels ensuring everyone, riders, supporters and management remain positive. Getting stuffed everywhere just drives supporters away like it has at Lynn, tomorrows attendance will be interesting as it’s on TV so the usual travelling supporters will be able to watch it on Eurosport.

Not a lot

Belle Vue -V- Peterborough

Well up till last week attendances we’re holding up well at Peterborough, but the next home v Belle Vue will be a real tester as it’s on Eurosport. It could very well be two financial situations soon, but Panthers attendances will have to seriously drop to get to the dreadful level I have seen at Lynn 3 times this year. -
Well considering he does the Peterborough press releases I think it’s likely to be the latter.
-
Happy to second that BSN is much better than Eurosport.

Some of the racing was ok but the track clearly didn’t suit the home team at the start. The crowd was appalling, it’s not hard to see why Chapman is complaining about the team being over budget, the support is just not turning up. Going on what he said in his post match comments it doesn’t sound too good for Lynn let alone Peterborough and our crowds have been good - so far,

Nothing on the BV website about it. -
The application has been submitted but is awaiting validation by the council, once it’s validated it will appear on the city council website, this process could take many weeks.

I’ve heard a rumour that Kings Lynn might get a mention anytime soon , bearing in mind it’s a Kings Lynn 2023 thread.

King's Lynn v Wolves 15/06/23

R/R for a missing second string -
Let’s be fair rules are very fluid within U.K. speedway, we regularly have five year plans that last one year and the speedway regulations change yearly so rules generally mean nothing. Also what the BSPL regularly state has often been proved to be totally unreliable and bears no relation to common sense at all.

Solid team with a reserve who was flying at the start of the year, so much so that he ended up at No 1 and then got injured, the team was confident had an excellent team manager and always had an in form reserve.
-
No problem with working to a budget but teams in whatever league the management choose need to be competitive, if you cannot afford to be competitive in the Premier league then run in the Championship. I seem to recall Chapman’s King Lynn team did rather well in the Championship past decades.

Why don’t you ask your mate, he should know
-
I smiled when a lot of people talked up Bellego before the season started, he is awful and looks so slow
-
Clearly everyone is watching it on the TV
-
Why, you do it every day
-
The new face is Rob Lyon, standing in for Alex Brady apparently
-
A bit difficult as we are allowed riders up to 6.45 and Bombers current GSA is 7.45
-
Anything above Andersen’s GSA of 4.96 would put him in the top 5.

Leicester v Ipswich 8th June
bigcatdiary replied to W9 Lion's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No it isn’t but once entered (his reasons for entering are beyond me) I think he is committed, I think the late fixture switch was important because clearly he would have had his travel plans in place. Quite why riders who are well past their GP standard and riders that are clearly not up to anywhere near GP standard enter the FIM qualifiers is beyond me but their you go. -

Pretty sure an FIM qualifier takes precedent over a Premier League fixture in any event, but this was a late re arranged match so Harris is hardly at fault for this one
