This weekend is also Wroclaw massive Derby match against Leszno so is not really that unexpected as far as I know the rider himself wanted to ride for Leicester but without the PZM start permission he is unable to ride anywhere. As he is now banned and there is also some other meetings and practice sessions required I think no option but to replace him I have a feeling we may be seeing Greg Walasek again next week as well. It will be interesting to see if Jason Doyle rides at Leicester next week as after the last meeting he was quite adamant telling fans that unless the fixture got moved he won't be at Leicester as can't do Saturday nights

I am not going to get into a debate with some posters about previous information and will just add that it would be reasonable for all LIve Sky meetings to be £5 adults and free for kids but then clubs try to get a meeting sponsor to make it free. When meetings have been sponsored before Sky Always try their best to feature the sponsor like in the Coin toss, background boards and making sure their corporate banners get exposure as we know how hard it is for Speedway to get sponsorship. Vitality Life insurance sponsored Sky's Netball super league coverage and Badminton coverage which both finished when Sky Speedway coverage started. A lead was given to Speedway powers that be not sure if followed up

Bspa Have Blocked Richard Hall`s Move To Brum!

It all seems wrong that they want to use an average from so long ago yet they allowed Adam Ellis join Eastbourne when he was an EL heatleader -
Bt Sports Costs

The only thing I can think of is that when you enter your viewing card number and postcode it recognises that offer is not applicable to you. As it does say it's a BT broadband deal for returning customers As it does check with Sky as I have tried entering my viewing card no and brothers address which throws up an error to say the two don't match. I am kind of hoping that once the football and Rugby union season finishes in a couple of weeks that BT may do some offers as its well known during the summer their subscribers drop the channel if they pay for it -

I know of some riders that are actually on 2014 GM engines as there has not been a big change in technology or design. Obviously these have been serviced and tweaked since also some GP riders have specific engines for set tracks and I remember Simon Stead telling me about an engine that he uses just at Sheffield he set it up with Ashley Holloway with the cam, piston and valves set exactly to Owlerton so it drives in the dirt lines so the rider can rely on the power being in the correct place -
He would have been in sooner if it had been anybody else other than Poole at Leicester last night. Hopefully this break will have allowed Davey some time to reflect and come back strong. Oh dear I have just had a read of the Leicester FB page very interesting and funny reading. Why would anybody from the club verbally attack fans just because they raise an issue on pricing for tonight's match which I have to admit is wrong on the Speedway fans that attend every week. A brilliant example of how not to do PR any Football fans reading those comments would think how unorganised the club are. It does seem the club is in real trouble you have a Promotor that has been forced out as cannot control himself and now you have club officials upsetting loyal fans all finished off with a team that is struggling to be competitive.

I am full of admiration for David Hemsley as he put his money up and brought Speedway back to Leicester and has some good ideas. However he has made a number of wrong decisions and is very unwilling to listen to experienced advice on matters e.g Track shape, race night and how you deal with your customers. There is a lot more to his promotors resignation it was more of a case that he walked before he was pushed as his position in the BSPA has become unworkable. Unfortunately I do have concerns over the future at Leicester for the rest of this season and unless somebody else comes forward to buy it will it continue in 2017 as am unsure whether Mr Hemsley will be happy with current crowd levels to be just the owner.
-
This is totally wrong on the BSPA part how can they block an asset to the premier league from riding in his own country especially when BV and rider are all in favour of the move. This just goes to show how the BSPA management team are only there to protect their self interest.

Bt Sports Costs
flagrag replied to sportmaniaphotos's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Noodles/Danny Smith That link only allows you to have BT sport at the full £19:99 cost and £5 activation cost I tried myself today as has my brother. The only thing I can think of is this offer just for BT telephone customers as we are both on Sky for phone and Broadband as does say it is a return to us offer -
The question is with other clubs starting to make moves to make teams stronger should Leicester look at replacing Seb Ullamek ? Two options could be Nicholas Porsing who has no Polish racing at present as was at Peterborough on Sundays or do you take a gamble on maybe Davey Watt if he is interested.
-
They will not be able to do a straight swap Cook for Porsing so expect more signings later to replace MPT

Slovenian Fim Speedway Gp 30th April 2016
flagrag replied to kraftwerk's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
It was good to see the GP back on TV after the winter break. As much as it pains me to say it I too thought BT made a good job of broadcasting the GP the presentation was good. Led by an anchor who knows her stuff and is actually interested in the sport and Scott seems more comfortable in front of the camera now I do agree it would be better with another studio guest maybe somebody like Hans Anderson or Rory Schlein who both come over well on tv. I know what some people mean about the host feed there was some strange vision mixing and camerawork taking place possibly due to local crews not being used to doing Speedway on a regular basis i know when Sky have done Cardiff before some guys have struggled with how you have to do Speedway as is diffrent to other motorsports. I presume Steve Saint is still the Director but can only do so much with what he gets from the local staff. -

Just to make you aware the offer posted earlier this week for half price BT sport for 3months has now finished. Both my Brother and parents tried to sign up but coming up with the usual £19:99 cost although I expect a new offer soon especially with the football and Rugby season finishing in the new couple of weeks. -
Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?
flagrag replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I do not know the exact figures that was offered to Tai as it was a combined deal that was put together but do know exactly what Sky were prepared to do to try and get him in the EL in 2016. As this has been raised here today I have actually had a chat and coffee this afternoon with the man that did put it together to make sure I had understood correctly. The BSPA were obviously fully behind this even as far as CVS agreeing to him going to any club on loan for the best interest of the sport in the UK It would be wrong and unjust to post the finances involved but was more than worth the riders while to do in most people's minds. You also have to remember this was a form of sponsorship so was on top of his usual points, travelling and appearance fee which being WC he is entitled to ask for top money. Steve Shovlar - You are correct I don't drive a van but do have some nice big satellite dishes on my office roof and enough decoders to fit out a small town with Sky TV 🤓 -

flagrag replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just to clarify I wasn't involved in the deal to try to get Woffy in the EL but do know that a deal/ sponsorship was put together along with BSPA to try and persuade him to ride in UK. From what I have been told and heard he would have signed for a club of his choice done his own deal with them and then this would have been a form of sponsorship to go towards the additional costs of riding in the UK. -

In the winter the BSPA and Sky put together a very good deal for Tai to ride in the Elite league in 2016 being the British World champion yet he decided not to accept it. He has certainly burnt some bridges by not riding in the EL and the British Final this year and I just hope he does not go on to regret it. I know he is also not exactly in BT sports good book at present after not taking part in something they had arranged for the GP Coverage. -
Peterborough V Somerset Pl Sunday 24th April
flagrag replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
As much as I think Craig Cook does not want to ride in the PL again if he continues to not getting picked in Poland then he may have to reconsider as is not riding enough to remain sharp for the EL and also I am sure he do with the extra income. The lower league Polish clubs are well known to sign riders promising meetings every week but then only pick UK based riders for a few selected matches I know Simon Stead,Danny King and Ben Barker have had the same with only riding 2-3 meetings normally at the end towards the play offs. Its not an option for Cook to go back to Edinburgh this season anyway as your not allowed to sign for clubs that have the same regular race night which both Belle Vue and Edinburgh now have in Friday's. So if he does want more racing it will have to be elsewhere would the Panthers fit Cook and Ellis in by replacing MPT and Porsing ? -

flagrag replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Jenga- If we are both thinking of the same rider who has been let down by rides in Poland on Sunday's then yes he would be an excellent if not expensive signing for the Panthers but could turn the season around. I just have a feeling though this rider may prefer to wait and see if can get picked in Poland a bit longer -
Peterborough V Somerset Pl Sunday 24th April
flagrag replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
With the weather being pretty good yesterday I made the trip up to Alwalton and I am very glad that I did there was some excellent racing with plenty of passing. Somerset rode as a team and everybody chipped in with valuable points apart from Zach W who was having bike problems. I was very impressed by both BWD and Jake Alllen who both rode the track very well. For the Panthers MPT was very poor and seemed uninterested and Grondal did not seem like the rider he was last season. Lambert was his typical self great when a bit of grip then not much and has poor away form. From what I got told after the meeting team changes will be happening and the name mentioned to me was Adam Ellis but club are unsure on costings as unlikely to be able to do all 3 leagues and would need to drop NL so they will need to make it worth his while as am sure he is on very good money at Eastbourne now. I understand there is an BSPA agreement that NL clubs release riders if they can get a PL place so have to wait and see. Another option that may become available is N Klindt who doesn't seem to be getting picked for Poland at the moment so if that continues he may consider PL again -
Thank you very much everybody that has already done this and it can be continued to be done until next Wednesday. The figures for the opening match were encouraging considering up against FA cup football on BBC 1 we have seen quite a bit of time shifted viewing of the Speedway e.g viewers watched the football live but recorded the speedway then watched the Speedway back later on Wed or on Thursday

I am after a bit of a favour from as many as possible Speedway fans that have their TV provided by Sky and have a sports subscription We need as many people as possible to go into catch up on their Sky box then select Sky sports scroll across to more or by day. We need you to then download the TV match from Wednesday once it's done just watch a min of 1 minute then you can delete it again. The purpose of this is the On Demand team are doing a review of the catch up service as its not possible to have every programme on there . They are monitoring the amount of downloads that are being done of each programme and we want to make sure that Speedway continue to be available on demand.

Leicester V Belle Vue 09.04.16
flagrag replied to barrow boy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Zengota would be a good option but unfortunately he is already committed to the pairs series and doing the SEC which is mostly on non GP Saturday's when Leicester have all their fixtures. I have a feeling it may be a doubling up rider probably Aaron Summers especially as he has been saying wants more racing and now has British residency so no visa required but will depend on fixture clashes with Glasgow and Sweden on Thursdays. The team needs more top end support though
