  1. Kent will run Fridays instead of Lakeside with some riders moving to Central Park and Sky meetings council will give special dispensation for. Swindon will be at Oxford next season unless late U turn by Blunsdon developers and decide to go ahead and just build the Speedway track without the full grandstand and facilities
  2. From what I have been told Jason has a deal with another club which is good but will not sign yet until he knows what is going on at Leicester as with all this talk of two midweek race nights this could change initial ideas that Jason has had. If Leicester remain in EL and change to midweek and doesn't decide to return to Wolves I wouldn't be surprised to see Tai at Leicester, He said that if more regular race night he will return and as WC financially it makes sense to maximise your earnings
  3. Peter Oakes article confirms nothing Leicester fans did not already know if the Leicester club continue with Saturday nights it will have to be without Doyle and Wozniak due to Poland on a Sunday. With Doyle being a free agent Hemsley told him towards end of the season that he was to continue with Saturdays and will not change the track as suggested so Jason has looked elsewhere for a team spot and done an early deal so not to get left out. The thing is now it looks like Leicester will be forced to run midweek if they continue with EL just as they see the No1 leave whom may have stayed with Mon racing. Unless there is quick progress with new top riders wanting to come to Leicester I think it will be Premier league racing on Saturdays
  4. If Coventry are struggling for a guest for the 2nd based on current form I would take a gamble on Anders Thomsen he has got good equipment can gate well and won't do any worse than Lindgren in the first leg
  5. Welcome to Cowley Lane Oxford for the 2016 season 😏
  6. Leicester logistically and financially was the best option to restage the PL4s as has good home crowds,Leicester rider Sam Masters in the meeting,Centrally located so would pick up from casuals from Cov,Wolves,Peterborough,Birmingham and maybe Sheffield. Leicester also finished early so fans eager for more meetings Also no high stadium hire costs, all volunteer staff so seemed a win win thing. Except Leicesters promotion are not well favoured by BSPA and couldn't agree a staging fee so believe it's Scunthorpe or Kings Lynn now
  7. The forecast at the minute is really not very good for Monday if for any reason does anybody know when the restaging date will be ? It's Swedish play offs Tues so imagine it will be Wednesday anything official though ?
  8. I believe that Leicester should be in the Elite league with the stadium and support that they have got but some changes have got to be made to try and make the team competitive. Unfortunately it will mean an end to Saturday night racing apart from a few at the start of season before Polish league starts, this I understand is one of the conditions that Jason Doyle may consider returning to Leicester a change of race night as finding it too hectic and some proven support at top end if the team. By changing race night should also help get more riders to come to Leicester in 2016 I know Norrie got the same answer from so many riders when trying to make changes I can't do Saturday nights. The big question is will Mr Hemsley listen to advice he is given, he has made it clear in the press that he doesn't see any reason to change the track at present.
  9. Still awaiting confirmation of restaging date and rider availability but one option is this Thursday this week unless there are some clashes that have not been thought about.
  10. I have just spoke to one of the guys I stand with at Leicester who lives 2 miles from the track he said it rained for most of Sunday and most of the night but the heavy rain started about 9:00am really not sure which way this will go. Usually Leicester holds the water well but the track didn't seem to drain very well last week after the heavy rain on Friday which left bend3 very sticky
  11. I wonder whether AJ will show up on Monday for this meeting as there was reports that Lakeside had told not to come over last week lets wait and see.
  12. Steve The Lion- If tomorrow does unfortunately get called off due to the weather I am not sure if next Saturday will be an option as its the GP challenge and also the start of the Polish play offs on Sunday so Torun will require Jason Doyle,Chris Holder and Kasper Gomolski to be in Poland on Saturday to prepare and practice as well I'm sure Wroclaw will not want Magic Janowski at Leicester as well. Also Wozniak is likely to be required at Bydgoszcz as well
  13. Kings Lynn have asked Leicester to go on Tuesday but they are not happy to do so as will have no Doyle and Polish riders are booked home on flights on Tuesday. I heard the Leicester promotion are also unhappy that Kings Lynn have gone ahead and booked guests in Bomber and Cook before even asking Leicester about the fixture so they are not prepare to go there but seems the BSPA are going to force the fixture through.
  14. I wonder if he had any intention on riding today as its been arranged so quickly it's a shame as I'm sure that he would have got a good welcome after his Gorzow victory. That's good that the weather may hold out for this just trying to decide whether I want to do the M25-M1-M6 motorway battle would have come up on the train apart from stupid engineering works
  15. I presume Zagar is missing today as see that Chris Harris is now riding for Belle Vue instead of grass track. How's the weather up in Manchester today
  16. I think that Leicester should try to arrange a challenge match Rest of the world select vs Australia select with profits after operating costs going to Darcy Ward foundation I am sure they could get some riders to ride for less than usual wage and am confident Midlands speedway fans would support the meeting
  17. I believe that it will be rerun this year it's just trying to find a date that does not clash with Elite,Premier and Polish playoffs and relegation in all leagues so all riders are available to ride. I am expecting this to be early October when most clubs will have been finished a couple of weeks so many get more neutral fans for last Speedway fix of the year.
  18. Leicester is an option for this meeting as others have said logistically is ok with clubs in the final and is a neutral track. It will also get a good support from Leicester fans especially as they are finishing so early and will feature some Leicester favourites. I don't think it will be a Saturday night though more likely to be a Sun afternoon in early Oct
  19. LionKing - As much as Mr Hemsley would like to extend the season unless he calls it off at lunchtime he will still incur all the travelling expenses from the riders and the forecast I have just saw says rain not starting until 19:00 by which time the meeting will be under the referees control so won't be up to the club to call it off
  20. From what I have been told by 3 different people including some very close to Peterborough promotion. Is that Robert Lambert first approached both Peterborough and Kings Lynn for pay rises over a month ago,Even though he has signed and agreed his deals for 2015 he believes that as he was No1 at Panthers then they should pay him quite a bit more now and the same sort of thing at KL he has moved to be a heatleader wants more money. The Panthers have said No like many other riders you will see the benefit of improvement in next years deals but team Lambert were unhappy about this and so the club have replaced him. Also as technically he is not withholding his services he can join another PL club I expect to see that move happen soon. Not sure what KL are doing yet
  21. Well it just goes to show the Panthers management were not going to give into Lamberts demands, it is wrong for a rider to ride for a club all season and then come the business end of the season to start asking for more money and in this case I am well informed that it was quite large increases Robert wanted. Personally I think he is being advised poorly and will be interesting to see if Kings Lynn agree to his requests or if any other PL club are prepared to pay what he wants for the play offs. As long as he is fit I think Barker could be a good signing for Peterborough and will help build good team spirit and I'm sure become popular with the fans.
  22. I think a lot will depend on Leicester's Polish trio of they can get 7+ points each tonight the Lions should have a chance also need Ludvig Lindgren to chip in with a few as well. This could be a close match
  23. 1 Valve- You mentioned Leicester being too slow off the mark to book Richard Hall as the guest my understanding is that Lakeside have had him booked for weeks well before Simon Lambert got injured and Josh Auty was ruled out. I don't agree if what went on the background with Lakeside team changes and lack of control by BSPA and SCB however on the day Leicester were beaten by a better team and Swiderski is not the backup to Doyle that is required.
  24. My understanding is that Simon Lambert has actually broken his shoulder which if correct would be a longer lay off than a dislocation
  25. HadrienDog- Nobody will be in the firing line for not broadcasting this match as the reason there is no matches this week is due to the darts. The same production team do Speedway and Darts at Sky so hence can't be in two places at once
