Took a drive past Rye Stadium this afternoon. Work on the 3rd/4th bends is cracking on. The seating has been removed and it looks like they're raising the terrace banking, so they'll be a better view over the air fence

Riders were allowed one guest last year, other than a mechanic. There's a story going round that one rider smuggled SEVEN of his mates into Peterborough in the back of his van last year.
One of the best racing tracks in the country, usually track competitive sides and the second best pie & peas in speedway. If you can't attract crowds with that you're really in trouble

The little information I have is that he is the owner of an energy drink company in the Midlands with connections to Motorsport. I think he's an ex racing driver. Recently sold his farm for a very substantial sum. I've heard he has plans to upgrade the stadium for use other than speedway.
I think the plan is for him to be involved in the stadium side of it, but not the speedway side. Hopefully this'll mean improved catering facilities
