  1. Tres was a panic signing to cover for the Tyson Nelson visa fiasco. He's hardly set the place on fire. Will he be replaced? Probably not given the promotions reluctance to release underperforming riders and with the season over before the end of June there's hardly any point. Nice fella by all accounts, but so is Mr Patel down at our local pizza take away. I've got his number if Silver wants it. He even owns his own moped
  2. Can't believe some of the stuff that coming out of Rye House these days. Jason Bunyan loses the captaincy because he lacks motivational skills. Surely the team manager should be doing that? The riders are unhappy with the track set up, that's a fact. Who knows better how the track should be prepared, someone who races on it every week, or someone who hasn't had a competitive race for fifty years? Redcar are down at Plymouth tonight, so an early rain of wouldn't be necessary. Best to wait until early afternoon and see how the weather is.
  3. This is getting beyond ridiculous now. Bite the bullet and say, merci Tres and au revoir. Anders Mellgren has tweeted that he's almost ready to return to racing. Would he fit in the side with a 3 pointer minus Tres & Stefan?
  4. Yeah, we had the message through around 9am. Hopefully a quick whizz round Mothercare, then it's off daaan saaaf. I'm sure we'll be down for the rearranged date in September. Interesting to read that Plymouth are still running tonight. Must be very localised rain in the West Country
  5. Nobody put on the deck, just some pushing and shoving with some old boy from the crowd trying to get involved. Nothing to it really
  6. There are some dodgy rules that need looking at during the winter, this is one of them. The use of RR & guests is confusing and farcical at times. In the past few weeks Rye House have suffered more than most in this respect. Only allowed an NL guest at Glasgow in the KOC for Seb Tresarrieu, on long track duty in Europe, which cost us our place in the next round, but the Bandits can use a track expert when Kus is clearly fit to race. Teams manipulate the rules to suit themselves. Any other sensible team manager would do the same.
  7. Weather forecast is shocking. Looks like I'll be spending half the day being dragged around Meadowhall Shopping Centre
  8. Bandits at home on Sky guarantees an away win. Hope the cameras have a wide angle lens so we can see the long gaps between the riders during the races
  9. My third visit to the OTA this year. Reckon the Bandits will score more than we did, but not much more
  10. If by a miracle the Rockets manage a win I won't be responsible for my actions
  11. I'm not letting her drive all the way to Sheffield and back alone. It's with a heavy heart that I do this, but my lady and unborn child must come first
  12. Nothing like a home meeting against the underperforming Rockets to get your confidence back. Unfortunately gonna miss this due to a double booking
  13. Silvers loyalty to riders is the biggest hurdle in Rye House getting anywhere near to the team they were in the mid 2000's. His stubbornness is killing the club
  14. Don't blame John Sampford. I doubt he has any input into rider selection. I'm prepared to give this season up and look forward to next year when the money spent on the air fence would've been recouped. Then we may see a team put together that can challenge. If may be too late by then as those who have drifted away may never return
  15. Calling off a meeting 10 days before it's s'posed to run due to a football match on TV when you've had 4 months notice doesn't help the cause either.
  16. Any chance of this objector kicking the bucket anytime soon?
  17. Didn't the FIM offer to pay any fines levied by the local council for going over the 9.30 curfew for the GP Qualifier?
  18. How can you criticise someone who's prepared tracks for World finals? Surely he knows what's best?
  19. All joking aside, speedway clubs just don't have the finances to provide the kind of medical cover necessary for incidents like this. Like it or not speedway in this country is still run on a shoestring budget. The compulsory air fences rule has all but crippled clubs, most having to go cap in hand to their supporters to pay for them. Any additional financial burden will kill it
  20. Could be that the person in question was taken ill himself and showed symptoms of drunkeness. Nowhere near as funny as being pi$$ed though
  21. I should think Redcar have grounds to demand a restaging. Berwick Speedway have responsibility to provide adequate medical coverage. This seems less than adequate and could well have cost Redcar a point at least
