  1. Good win for Newcastle. Favourites for the league with Edinburgh surely?
  2. Heard a whisper last night that air fences are to be made compulsory in the Premier League from 2014. Dunno if this is old news, but certainly the first I've heard of it. Could impact heavily on a number of clubs if true.
  3. Currently motoring down the M5 en route from the Bandits dismal display at Sheffield last night. Not expecting much tonight, reckon we'll do well to hit 35 points. Clouded over since we passed Brum with the forecast saying a light shower between 4 and 5, steady rain around 10. Should be ok though. Lewis Kerr guesting for Tom Perry I believe
  4. Sheffield look a different side to the one I saw beaten comprehensively here by Rye House in the KO cup a few weeks ago. Haines and Koppe have improved massively since then. They were the difference. Disappointing from Bellego, Kozza and Weathers. The score line flatters Berwick somewhat, who were never in it from the first heat. Take away the tactical points and Kennett scored 11 from 5, an average of 8.80, not bad for an away number one. Interesting to see Andre Compton putting in some laps after the meeting
  5. Jason Garrity reckons he'll be back in 3 weeks
  6. 15 points up after 7 heats at Redcar. That was your best chance.
  7. The vast majority of those posts were in the PL & NL sections. I very rarely stray from them. You're just trying to deflect attention from the fact you wrote Tai off. Nice try!
  8. Could be Ian. It's a rule that needs looking at for sure
  9. Just stumbled across this thread and having a chuckle at all the posts from last year stating Tai isn't good enough to race in the GP series. Nice one!
  10. Don't believe her. Saturday nights at Shadwell Towers is hell when Berwick lose at home.
  11. One Berwick and one Rye House fan heading north for this before the trek to Somerset on Friday to see the Rockets get gubbed. Can't call this one, could go either way, but for the sake of a peaceful end to the week for me, I hope the Bandits come away with at least a point.
  12. 9+1 from 5 earlier in the season including a fall. Damn right it's gonna be tough!
  13. According to him it was HIS sausage roll you ate.
  14. Robert Mear is no Jason Garrity and is in shocking form at the moment. Anyone who saw his performance for Lakeside on Sky the other night could see that. Not aware of the Devils guest at number one, but if they've any sense they'll book Ricky Wells again... Plymouth won't fear coming to Rye after their comprehensive win a couple of weeks ago... Another home defeat I fear.
  15. I think B4E will be looking forward to our visit to Owlerton on Thursday. If Rye can win there anyone can!!
  16. Unique to that list though unless someone's put the price up. Glasgow was £2 last time I was there. I think it's only Rye, Leicester & Ipswich on that list that don't charge for parking.
  17. Edinburgh. The only track with it's own micro climate. Also the only one of those named who's track is nowhere near the place they are named after. They are also the only club that charges a "premium" if you don't book online tickets, but doesn't state on their website how much the "premium" is. They are also the only club to charge motorists £2 to park at the stadium.
  18. Booked our hotel via SCB website, same hotel as this year. The hotel website not taking bookings though GP tickets bought too
  19. I've been to Swindon on the Thursday before the GP weekend in 2011 for Steve Johnsons Testimonial & in 2012 for the EL meeting with Poole, both disappointing meetings. This year we gave it a miss, luckily it turns out, as it was rained off
