  1. I'm pretty much commited to making the journey, unless it's called of before I leave at around 4.30pm. Already given up my afternoon overtime, nothing much on TV and I've fueled the car in readiness. I'd hate to stay home "just in case", and find I've missed a cracker. The perils of being a dedicated fan *sigh* Even worse when they use the local rag to "name and shame" particular supporters with lies and half truths
  2. Recently, when I've been to Foxhall , the outside gates have been rubbish. He'll be off 3 or 4 against Grajczonek and Bunyan. If it was Olly Allen inside him on the gates I'd favour Allen, but tonight?
  3. BBC weather has light rain from around noon to 4ish, so a marked improvement on yesterday's prediction. Still touch and go though.
  4. I'd already given up my Thursday afternoon overtime too... Bugger!!!
  5. I'll wait until about 5pm before setting off from North London. Even with traffic I should be there by 7.15
  6. I can sympathise with the Workington fans that travelled down, because I've had a similar situation myself a couple of years back. A 325 mile drive to Berwick for a rain off when the Bandits had a weakened side due to injury and other riders not being available. There was some rain, but by 7pm the sun was blazing down out of a near cloudless sky. I went to the track, scaled a wall and took photo's of the track, which looked wet, but no worse than some I've seen at Berwick in the past. Definitely not as wet as the track at Somerset tonight looking at the photo's.
  7. I'd swop the Aussie Ipswich forecast for our own, wouldn't you?
  8. Since when have the fans considerations been taken into account by the powers that be?
  9. Not out of date, but from the other side of the world. Ipswich, Australia!!
  10. Nelson is in shocking form lately. All can take a r/r ride
  11. Don't know why people pay those ridiculous food and drink prices inside the stadium when there are so many eating and drinking places all ove the city centre. Drink before going in, eat and drink after.
  12. Not looking bad at the moment http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2162644
  13. It's Grajczonek. A right pain in the arse when updating. I'm loving the confident predictions of a huge Witches win. Can't for the life of me see how we're gonna come away from Foxhall with anything but a defeat, but by 24 points? That seems overly optimistic to me.
  14. I wasn't there, but probably updating that night as I can picture it in my minds eye. It's remarkable how the most innocuous fall can end in a serious injury, but a crash like that and the rider walks away relatively unscathed. I witnessed a horrific incident at Rye House with Tommy Allen hurtling at full speed through the 4th bend fence, just missing a floodlight pylon, ending up about 30ft from the track. We all feared the worst, but he got up almost immediately and walked along the dog track back to the pits.
  15. Hope we put on a better performance than we did at Somerset. At least I'll have less time to brood over it on the way home http://www.ryehouserockets.co/news.php?extend.605
  16. Not the drunken rowdy bunch by the startline? The fact he has 24 friends is the surprising thing about that post
  17. Luke Bowen smashed into the home straight fence at Somerset last year after picking up drive coming out of the fourth turn, breaking a thigh bone. Pretty sure an air fence wouldn't have covered that part of the track as he ended up lying close to the start/finish line
