  1. Owlerton Stadium have the same restrictions on food & drink for the PLRC, but not for Sheffield home meetings.
  2. When Dan Bewley came to Rye with the Monarchs in May he was terrible, didn't score a point from 3 rides . 12 weeks later he pitches up as Glasgow guest and was sensational. Something clicked in those 3 months. Looked a different rider. He has some future that lad.
  3. Riders occasionally have poor meetings. Has ZW ever had a good one for Somerset, especially away? Anyway, Lawson scored 6, which negates anything extra Wright would've scored. Do your sums
  4. Let's not get too carried away, Somerset won because of super guest Dan Bewley. ZW would've been lucky to score a point, Jake Allen would've probably scored what the guest did.
  5. Glasgow match winner at Rye House returns to bite them on the arse. Remarkable performance from young Bewley
  6. Leigh Lanham had an extra 90 miles further to travel than Edward. At the end of the day the points were lost, so it's done and dusted now
  7. Don't fancy yourselves against Newcastle?
  8. Judging by the terrible spelling and grammar, not to mention the threats, he's probably a speedway mechanic and/or failed rider
  9. Me, offended? Don't be daft 😂Let's hope the mods keep that post as it is. Show whoever it is up. He/she knows who I am. Let's see if they have the cojones to tell me to my face. Don't hold your breath. I was gutted to miss the meeting, but this boy is very demanding, much like his mother 😉
  10. You're talking about a bloke who's been following Rye House home and away since 1985. A bloke who spent over £300 following the Rockets on the recent Northern tour, flying up to Edinburgh straight after work. A bloke who travelled to Somerset THREE times in 2014 (total of 850 miles) to see us score 28, 26 & 20 points. A bloke who's sometimes been the only visible Rye fan at an away meeting, often amongst a small handful who've bothered to travel for an inevitable heavy loss. A bloke who's had to sometimes borrow money just to travel to a Rye House meeting. My baby son was asleep until just after 2pm yesterday, that's the only reason I didn't go. I'm not gonna blow smoke up anyone's a*se, riders, promotion, team manager, or anyone else I tell it as I see it. I speak to many Rye fans who feel the same as me. If you don't like it, tough, I'll never change. As for making threats of violence towards me... Fill my mouth? Really? I think you could find yourself in a world of trouble legally. You may want to withdraw that, but oh, you're anonymous aren't you. I'm not. The promotion know who I am, as do many of the friends I've made up And down the country whilst following my team She was in bed after her night shift caring for dying cancer patients at Guys Hospital Waco.
  11. Too early for me. Busy day at work. If this meeting was at the usual time of 7pm it would've been rained off. Very wet here now
  12. Sick of Rye House Some odd decisions from the Rye team manager this year
  13. Something definitely amiss. Rohan Tungate made it to the Belle Vue v Swindon meeting after the Somerset meeting at Edinburgh was called off early. As it happens he needn't have bothered as that was rained off too, but at least he made the effort. I think an explanation is in order. I'm not buying the travelling time. Kennett lives near Eastbourne I gather. The meeting at Coventry was called off around 11.30, a full 7 hours to get to Plymouth. I presume he bikes were ready loaded for the trip to Brandon
  14. I should think he'll be much in demand. As he's now a declared team member his average will probably rise
  15. You're as good as in the KOC final. Can't see you letting a 16 point lead slip. At least your season will last longer than some
  16. Tungate travelled to BV after the Somerset meeting at Edinburgh was called off
  17. New rule for 2017. Home team doesn't get to use the tac ride until 12 points behind Would've been better with Kirk Douglas as guest
  18. Somerset have already lost tonight's meeting at Edinburgh to the weather
  19. Disappointed with the result, but pleased to read of the decent attendance. Last time I was there for an October PL meeting there were no more than 150 playing spectators
  20. Coventry v Lakeside called off this morning. Plenty of time for Edward to get to Plymouth
  21. Three associate directors have resigned. Not sure what this means for the club in general
  22. Great race, but from what I've seen that the exception rather than the rule. The BV track helps tremendously, looks a great shape
