  1. Now that would've been a good meeting to screen on Sky TV. Even though we lost it was a thoroughly enjoyable meeting. Mind you, once the sun had gone down it was freezing!!
  2. Cheers Screm. We were on the third bend and I I assumed from the crowd on the home straight your man had got it
  3. Can anyone confirm the winner of heat 11? I could've sworn I heard TJ given the win over Kennett. Looked very close
  4. One of the more entertaining meetings I've seen here. Kennett clearly injured and must be doubtful for the next few meetings. Baffled why Peterborough let Tom Perry go.
  5. Edward twisted his knee in heat 1, which explains his low score (Hertfordshire Mercury)
  6. That and Newcastle away. Apart from that he's carried the side this year
  7. We have very few meetings remaining. Scunny never been a happy hunting ground for Kennett. Tonight may be a better indication
  8. More likely to have an eye on Lakesides meeting next Friday
  9. On tonight's evidence I'd say not. Expect another score line along the lines of the KOC meeting, or worse if Kennett doesn't pull his finger out.
  10. A Spurs and Panthers fan. Jeez, you must be used to disappointment by now.
  11. Absolute guff against effectively a five man Scunthorpe side. To come away with nothing after a four drive up is very disappointing. Why Branford wasn't in heat 14 is baffling. A wooden spoon performance if I ever saw one.
  12. John Sampford was said to have been replaced as team manager because he didn't like the idea of releasing riders mid season. Only one change all year, Branford for Karger. How many of that 1-7 would've been replaced at other clubs?
  13. Batchelor would struggle to hold down a 7 point average in the PL on this form
  14. More than likely just pure vandalism, nothing to do with wanting speedway out of the city. Plymouth Speedway is one of those places that's remote enough for anyone with a warped mind to inflict damage with very little chance of being caught. Stoke have had similar problems recently with vandalism. Unfortunately once they get away with it the likelihood is they'll be back.
  15. Check out Workingtons meetings on Speedway Updates. Fair few "from the gate" races there too.
  16. Although I usually couldn't give a toss, I'll be rooting for Somerset in the play offs. Nobody can deny they've been the best team this season. Rye House actually finished fifth in 2007 when only the top four qualified for the play offs. Birmingham couldn't complete their league fixtures before the cut off date and overtook the Rockets after the play off places had been decided. Rye were fourth at the cut off date and had the good fortune to see Sheffield knock out the much fancied Kings Lynn in the other semi
  17. I've seen Rye House win the league twice since my first meeting in 1985. 2005 will always be special, but 2007 just didn't feel the same winning it via the play offs. No doubt about it, the best team finishes top of the pile. Somerset have been the most consistent over the season and have been very lucky with injuries.
