  1. Although I usually couldn't give a toss, I'll be rooting for Somerset in the play offs. Nobody can deny they've been the best team this season. Rye House actually finished fifth in 2007 when only the top four qualified for the play offs. Birmingham couldn't complete their league fixtures before the cut off date and overtook the Rockets after the play off places had been decided. Rye were fourth at the cut off date and had the good fortune to see Sheffield knock out the much fancied Kings Lynn in the other semi
  2. I've seen Rye House win the league twice since my first meeting in 1985. 2005 will always be special, but 2007 just didn't feel the same winning it via the play offs. No doubt about it, the best team finishes top of the pile. Somerset have been the most consistent over the season and have been very lucky with injuries.

  4. I'd go if the dead cert I had £50 on the other day that came in last is up before the beak. Should get 5 years for that shocker.
  5. First Scunthorpe run RR for a rider who's at a wedding, now this. No wonder this sport is going down the tubes
  6. It may be waterlogged now, but that track should dry out quickly due to the persistent breeze that blows across the EOES. Surely they could've waited until the morning to see how it goes? Seems dodgy to me
  7. Just seen a photo from Pete Hill. Track doesn't look great and there are riders in discussion looking at it now. Still steady drizzle for almost an hour Meeting off
  8. It's 4.40pm and there are a few spots of rain in the air. Quite breezy, so clouds are passing over quickly
  9. As Scunthorpe have already stated he's not injured, none of the above apply. NL guest only then. George Hunter will probably be there and available to ride I should guess
  10. Lewis just tweeted me that the wedding was booked before he signed for Scunny. Doubt that would be a valid reason to use RR
  11. Lewis Kerr scored 10 from 4 at Lakeside last night, so he can't be that badly injured. I hope Rye put a protest in
  12. By my calculations it's 5.38 for all Rye meetings including guest appearances. That's taking into account KOC, but not including bonus points. With bonus points it's 6.53
  13. This meeting is rescheduled due to the weather. You may not agree with it, but thems the rules Shame. Kennett could get some practice around Owlerton ahead of next weeks PLRC
