Nobody likes to see a speedway club close down. I’ve seen my club go to the wall twice and it ain’t nice. It was always gonna be a struggle with the team that was put together. Just not competitive

BERWICK v MILDENHALL (NDL) Saturday, June 18th (7pm)

Great win for the Bullets and a fully deserved point for the Fen Tigers. Could’ve easily been more for them but for the heroics of Ben Rathbone who was the Bullets match winner with 9+1. A brilliant 5-1 in the penultimate heat when Rathbone raced to a win as a reserve switch, Greg Blair grabbing second place with a sublime pass on Alex Spooner. Kyle Bickley with a skippers performance, taking care of the impressive Jason Edwards in the final heat to seal the win. A good evenings entertainment. It’s a shame there wasn’t more there to see it. -
Bandits new Danish signing having some track time after this evenings Bullets meeting

I have a feeling it’ll be a lot closer than that. A lot will depend on how motivated Kyle Bickley is. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mildenhall get a match point at least -
Something had to be done. There was no guarantee when Ty Proctor would return and another fall could see him out for a prolonged period. Guest reserves wasn’t much of an option. Kyle Bickley was a victim of the numbers game. To fit the Dane in someone had to go

And got their come uppance last night

Don’t let fact it pissed down at 6.55pm on Saturday, 5 minutes before the scheduled start time, saving many Redcar fans a wasted journey, cloud your judgement

He’s not 16 yet

Blair is in his early 30’s? Hardly the future. Only current Bullet I can see making the CL is Ace Pijper in a couple of years
-
Getting rid is harsh, probably done him a favour. He’s still captain of the Bullets
-
Knudsen replaces Proctor I should think. Stoneman has great potential and looked good when here earlier in the season
-
Not an upgrade on Bickley though, which is the point of this team change
-
Crang is nowhere near CL level

I’ve said it before, it’s in his head. No amount of tinkering with machinery will cure that. It’s down to him

Notice in his last race he started using the inside after he’d been passed. -

Home riders look like they’ve never seen the track before. Clegg slowed down and waved Edwards through. Shocking -

Was thinking the same. Complin only rides the outside line, wrong track for him. Wells was naive for a rider of his experience. Waved Howarth through -

Been to every track up and down the country. Newcastle is the only one where I rarely see anyone wearing the home sides merch. Lifeless, lacklustre crowd. -

Bandits will will be kicking themselves to be the only visitors to lose at Newcastle this season. Shocking side on an awful track -
Four guests and RR for both sides

Prefer Magna Tandoori in Bridge Street. There’s a nice Turkish restaurant opposite.
