It doesn't look as if we will have a consistent No 1 for 2019 going by Aussie Championship results to date. Neither J Holder or Kurtz are in top 3 and only Masters & Morris of any repute are below them. Lidsey looks a good prospect. Looks like we shall have to rely on all round strenth but as ony 7 teams we should make play offs!

I agrre but IMO, the loss of Holder cost Somerset the semi -final, & MPT for KL in 2nd leg cost them, but as you have said luck is there to be had, just giving my opinion.

I am a staunch Poole supporter and have been for just under 50 years, but agree with Gavan. We were lucky but that's life, we won.

Im not sure CH has been cleared to ride over here, if so, where & when? Im sure he can do a job but I imagine JH would be part of plan & from what I understood his relationship with MF & NM was not good at end of 2017 season but bridges can be repaired

Problem is Lisa the only out & out No 1's , IMO, are Doyle & Lambert and I doubt either will come to Poole. Otherewise, although IMO, not out & out No 1's : Fricke & Cook, unlikely to leave BV, Hans, probably too old, Batch a bit inconsistent

Poole have finished top before and lost in play off, e.g. against Coventry who had also been bottom of league but by careful manipulation had Pawlicki at reserve.

Very difficult call, but I predict table to finish Somerset, Poole, Kings Lynn, Belle Vue. Somerset may well pick Poole on recent results. But very open year and will depend on weather & injuries, IMHO.
