  1. Jacob Thorrsell was to be missing tonight as he was scheduled to ride in Sweden (PO semi), postponed from yesterday. However, this was called off again around lunchtime. Does this mean he is able to turn out for Wolves after all?
  2. ..and that is exactly the problem as far as Lakeside are concerned. Joining the NL very late in the day meant that promising youngsters had already been lined up by established clubs, David Mason was signed because there was no-one else who could hold down a third heat leader position at that time and had we retained George Hunter he might still be 'entertaining' us now. Also,at that time, George was scoring very little anyway. In fact, we were lucky that Alfie came good although it has been to our detriment that he has missed so many meetings through fixture clashes with Newcastle. From the Hagon Academy Jason Edwards will be fifteen on 14th October and lives locally. Nathan Ablitt is a year and a half younger but, based in Sussex, is likely to end up at Eastbourne.
  3. Still on Premier Sports schedule: http://www.premiersports.com/ So we wait to see.
  4. Thanks Dave. Seems I am paying a subscription for nothingI Available via Sky channel 424
  5. It appears that both televised matches this week are to be delayed transmissions on Premier Sports starting 10pm UK time.
  6. He rode in Sweden because the Elitserian fixture has been in the diary from the beginning of their season.
  7. What gives is this:- A Rider must be released to take part in a higher priority Meeting, unless he is “Doubling Up”, in which case the priority for a clash of Official Meetings is as follows: a) The Original Fixture if there is a clash with a re-arranged Fixture b 1 st priority to the owner of the rider c) 2 nd priority to the previous season club d) 3 rd priority to the league in which the owner club is a member. ..although I don't know how Rye House have retained the services of Stuart Robson unless it has been by mutual agreement.
  8. Whilst on the discussion of riders, Peterborough take on Newcastle this Wednesday and is an original fixture. Belle Vue v Rye House isn't, which implies that Steve Worrall, Chris Harris, and Stuart Robson will have to ride in the Championship meeting.
  9. Although there is an existing thread of sorts, recent posts relate to the away match on Thursday. Preview taken from Rye House Website: Next up for the Rockets, then, is another huge fixture tomorrow night (Tuesday) at home to A10 adversaries King’s Lynn. Says Barker ahead of the meeting, “If we can get the three points, then it’s REALLY close and we’ll be in touching distance. We all believe we can complete the job and make the Play-Offs, and then we’ll go again from there. “I’m really looking forward to tomorrow night against King’s Lynn – in fact I’m looking forward to all my remaining matches. I’m loving being a Rocket, so it’s all systems go from here.” BMR Rockets: Ben Barker, Chris Harris, Krzysztof Kasprzak, Ben Morley, Scott Nicholls (captain), Stuart Robson, Ricky Wells King’s Lynn: Josh Auty, Kai Huckenbeck, Tomas H. Jonasson, Thomas Jorgensen, Robert Lambert (captain), Simon Lambert, Michael Palm Toft Tuesday night’s admission at Rye House: Adults £18, Seniors (over 60s) £16, Full Time Students (17-22) £10, Children (12-16) £6, Children (under 12) Free. Match Programme £2.00. Start time: 7.30 prompt! Should be a routine win for Rye but you never know!
  10. No thread yet. Preview taken from Lakeside website: http://www.lakesidehammers.co/hammers-v-fen-tigers-preview/ This is a vital match for the Hammers and could define their season. Anything but a win then it is curtains for the play-offs I feel.
  11. Some doubt over Cameron for tonight. He had a bad crash at Ipswich yesterday and was taken to hospital where he spent the night. He is suffering muscle/ligament damage.
  12. This season ticket holder is peeved that we pulled out of the KO cup when there was a perfectly suitable reserved date, 11th August. All riders from both sides appear to have been available. Even more absurd is that when the original fixture list was produced, this was the date selected to ride against the now defunct Belle Vue/Coventry side.
  13. Hi Dave. Any idea why Premier Sports are showing Polish highlights at 6.30pm but not tonight's live fixture which instead is being broadcast at 8.30pm.
  14. Well done Mildenhall, sharper from the gate and employed better tactics. Lakeside were poor in all departments, just two heat winners one of which was the bizarre reserves race where both Tigers' fell leaving Couzins chugging along to take the chequered flag, and poor choice of guests. I cannot see them making the play-offs and could fninish as low as seventh. Locke is showing signs of improvement despite falling off on a regular basis but Couzins and Laurence are worse than useless and must go.
  15. No preview on either website yet. Lakeside will have Zach (injured) and Alfie (Newcastle) missing. My choice would be two guests rather than RR, maybe Steve Boxall again and Anders Rowe appears to be available. As far as I know, Mildenhall are at full strength.
  16. Justin Sedgmen is to miss the fixtures at Edinburgh and Workington having further aggravated his shoulder injury. His rides can be taken by Cam, Kyle and reserves.
  17. One rider who appears to goes unnoticed is Ricky Wells. His contribution is invaluable, 11 v Swindon (3 race wins), 10 at Poole (3) and last night 8 (2). Had he been available at Leicester Rye might have been celebrating back-to-back away victories - 10 (3) on their first visit.
  18. More important, you wont have Brady Kurtz this time.
  19. The rain gods are working on it but they will have to try harder than this! http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2646807?day=1
  20. No. Already in a declared Championship side, Redcar.
  21. Jack Parkinson-Blackburn guests for us this Sunday.
  22. Which meeting are you referring to? The only home fixture scheduled v Swindon was the KOC match on 8th April. Up until yesterday, Rye had experienced no home rain-offs this year. A meaningless challenge match v Coventry on 6th was cancelled due to rider unavailablility and, ironically, this was the original date set for Swindon's first league visit, As of now, neither club are acknowledging that they are to be a match short. Looking at fixtures generally, it also amazes me that any club can wind up having only four fixtures during a period of three months then six in one, seven if Swindon has to be fitted in, I expect the reserved date, Weds 6th September, would have to be for the return of Leicester as they are fully booked for remaining Saturdays. The weather forecast for August is quite poor with some predicting the wettest for five years.
  23. Since the BSPA doesn't recognise the Euro Championships it wouldn't matter if KK had ridden for Rye or not. No like for like facility is available. Instead options are fairly limited. The replacement at reserve has to be a NL rider who is not included in a current PL nor CL 1 - 7 or who has not previously attained an average of 4.00 or more in the former PL. It has been puzzling to me the whereabouts of the second Swindon fixture from the outset. When Rye first announced their fixture list it showed them riding at home to Somerset on three occasions. At the time I assumed it was just a typo with one of the dates intended to be the second Swindon league match. Although the third Somerset fixture was soon deleted, that against Swindon seems to have been lost in space as it is not listed as 'TBA' on the fixture list for either club. Edit: Just had a look at Swindon's fixtures as listed in the SS dd. 1st April to discover they should have been here on 6th May!
  24. Thanks. I was looking in the wrong place - news archive. Strange that this isn't on either the Hammers or Belle Vue website each showing these fixtures still to be arranged.
