  1. On the subject of David Mason I believe we have to accept as a new NL club being largely at the mercy of who is left. Many established riders would have shaken hands on new deals for 2017 by the end of last season. In fact, I think we have done well to have secured the services of Zach, albeit Lakeside asset but, nonetheless, based in Bristol. It is possible that we were targeting Shane Hazelden anyway but, once he had ruled himself out through injury, Mason or a complete beginner were the only remaining options. Despite his age I am sure he will do a decent job for us and there is nothing wrong with being 40. At a similar age Greg Hancock had just one World Championship to his name!
  2. As Indianerna in Sweden are finding to their cost: http://speedwaygp.com/news/article/5488/indians-to-decide-elitserien-future
  3. Lakeside announce their ticket prices for 2017 which seem in keeping with other NL clubs. There is no mention of programme price though so it is not possible at this stage to gauge the benefit of purchasing a season ticket. http://www.lakesidehammers.co/hammers-announce-admission-prices/
  4. Anders was the Rye House mascot during the Len Silver era and Len has kept close tabs on him since then so, I suppose, it was inevitable that he would be recruited by Kent. Jason won't be 15 until the middle of next October but he could get an outing or two should the season extend to the end of that month.
  5. I don't know to which meetings you are referring but previous Lakeside forums have been very well attended.
  6. Rye start their 2017 campaign at home to Wolves on Saturday 1st April: http://www.ryehouserockets.co/news.php?extend.1370
  7. Date set for fans forum later this month: http://www.lakesidehammers.co/countdown-ahead-new-era/
  8. I still have my programme from 17th September,v Swindon. It contains the items you mention plus the match report and details of our earlier fixture, an interview with Lewis Kerr, an introduction to Swindon including rider profiles, BSPA news, EL table and record of all results, an interview with Andy Young and news from around the EL tracks. In other words, as much or more than you get from any other programmes I have seen.
  9. Shane Hazeldene and Jack Kingston are club assets but Lakeside couldn't have both as there would be insufficient points left for the final rider. Does anyone know much about Dan Gilkes. He is part of the Revolution Team and scored 11 from 4 in the Rye House 500cc youth round last year qualifying 2nd behind Kyle Bickley. I believe he is 14 now but cannot find out if he will be 15 in time for next season.
  10. Picked this match at random. Can't see a great deal wrong with it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mhMTluBuEc
  11. Lakeside have been drawn against Belle Vue-Coventry for the first round of the KO Cup. They will not, however, compete in the National Trophy.
  12. First signings announced: http://www.lakesidehammers.co/hammers-double-swoop/
  13. As far as I have been able to make out, general practice sessions run from 10am to 3pm on Saturdays apart from the first Saturday of the month. Drift practice takes place alternate Sundays, also 10 - 3. Track prep would have to start a little later but this must have been the case when Coventry visited on both occasions last season.
  14. One would have hoped as much. Rye have stated that they will not run on SGP Saturdays. Unfortunately, those dates coincide with many of the the Arena-Essex 'Thunder Show' meetings so clashes involving Rye House may prove inevitable.
  15. Well here's the list. Who around that average, and not signed already, would you have chosen? http://www.speedwaygb.co/files/downloads/2017_team_building_numerical.pdf
  16. Just over four and a half hours but allow a little longer on Fridays particularly during the Summer months.
  17. I wouldn't read anything into that: https://twitter.com/RyeHouseFans?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw
  18. Now on site: http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.31643
  19. There is a National League thread already running.
  20. Rob Branford I hope then who knows. Zach Waijknecht must be in with a shout. One for the future, Tom Brennan who turns 16 next July.
  21. These are the rules taken from the 2016 regs. 17.9 An INJURED RIDER REPLACEMENT (IRR) Is a Facility that allows one certified injured rider’s (#1-#5) remaining programmed rides (including a ride in which he was unable to re-start but was not disqualified - FN) to be taken by other Team Members (including any Guest riders), providing the Team is not already using ARR and subject to: 17.9.1 The injured Rider not having completed 3 rides 17.9.2 Only one position per Team may be declared as IRR. 17.9.3 All riders with an MA below the Injured rider may take one IRR ride each. 17.9.4 IRR is not permitted in Heat 15. 17.9.5 A Nomination once made cannot be changed. 17.9.6 A rider taking an IRR ride may be nominated to take a TR ride
  22. Actually, that is what I thought but young Ben told me I was incorrect. Maybe the principle of mathmatics has change since I was at school. It was in the distant past after all!
