  1. Its years since I last went to the Cardiff GP but will be this year. Which is the best 'park and ride' to use? I will be travelling from the north-west. I cannot get any sense from Cardiff parking sites apart from times, and cost, and that is extended when there are major events at the Millennium Stadium. Can anyone help?
  2. Great stuff Stef. Also, fellow Belle Vue teammate Max Fricke seems to enjoy these 'under 21' gigs.
  3. I went to Rye House today with their opponents Berwick had three guests plus RR and Rye one guest and RR. Guests and RR doesn't have any impact on the racing, in fact, it enhanced it today with Berwick booking Michael Palm-Toft who went through the card, 17+1. The racing and overtaking/re-overtaking in nearly every heat made it the best meeting I've seen this year.
  4. I'm sure Nikolaj is relieved his bike problems were today and not yesterday. Cracking meeting though and Ed appeared to have heat 15 nailed until, you know what, he looked behind allowing Palm-Toft up the inside at the end of the first lap. One of these days he is going to turn into a pillar of salt like Lot's wife.
  5. Belle Vue would have won anyway as the guests collectively were unlikely to be any better than the riders they replaced. It is quite possible that we shall lose all our remaining fixtures through something we cannot change, weakness at reserve.
  6. It could be worse. Last Monday Lakeside went to Wolves without any of their 1 -5, four guests plus RR then Belle Vue visited on Friday with four guests of their own!
  7. That wouldn't have worked. Charles is a Somerset asset riding on Friday.
  8. We can bring back Ben and it might make a slight difference but it is failings at reserve that have resulted in four home defeats. Our 1-5 have outscored the opposition each time but their good work has been undone through lack of points at the lower end. Wolves 3 - 16, Coventry 6 - 12, Poole 5 - 15 and Belle Vue 7 - 13.
  9. Don't tell me, Kasper last through the door but first to the bar.
  10. I think I smell a rat. Did Ed actually blow an engine or did he slide off then fake a suspected broken hand because he didn't want the gig at Monmore Green in the evening. He didn't seem to be in any pain on the victory parade. I am sure others closer to the situation will put me right and I am sorry to be so cynical but that's how I perceive AJ treated us yesterday.
  11. Is AJ riding tonight. A lot of p....d off Lakeside fans would be interested to know!
  12. I was out this evening and my recording on SKY PLUS failed, not for the first time. Is it possible to get a streamed replay otherwise I shall have to wait until Eurosport repeat it, unlikely until the French Open Tennis finishes.
  13. Anders out for up to six weeks following a crash in Sweden: http://www.ryehouserockets.co/news.php?extend.1013 Lasse Bjerre travelling with them as well as he has been booked to ride for Wolves. Where did you get the info. on Nicolaj? Good choice though.
  14. We have one of those at Lakeside. Perhaps they should get together and compare notes. Not sure where your going with this, but Ashley rides tonight. Kurtz(Todd) comes into the side wef. 25th May although he will go straight into the 1 -5 whilst Simota drops down to reserve. Edit: Ashley not riding tonight. Clearly p....d off by being dropped which is a shame as he did a good job as a guest reserve riding for Berwick at Ipswich last evening.
  15. 28 days would mean his contract would not expire until 28th May.I think they must have re-declared as Meidzinski's time on the sidelines was uncertain and Rosco was talking in terms of Kildemend remaining with Swindon up to the start of the SWC. They have enough points to re-introduce Meidzinski back into the side bringing them back up to 33.98.
  16. RR#4 on main website. As for last night, I thought the track was as awful as it was last BH Monday yet it hasn't been in that condition before. Even earlier this season at the two other fixtures I've been to, Billy Sanders and v Rye House it resembled the racing strip reminiscent of previous seasons admittedly, often little by way of passing and races strung out but, at least, rideable.
  17. I don't know about AJ. He seemed OK in last week's GP and the knee wasn't put to the test on Tuesday as the meeting at Smerderna (v Rospiggarna) was rained off. Kim Nilsson is riding in Abensberg (SGP Qualifier - Round 4).
  18. Choices are limited as we are finding ourselves in having to seek a guest replacement for Richard Lawson who will be riding for his parent club Glasgow. In addition to three EL matches, there are five PL fixtures on Monday and, although Rye House v Redcar is a 2pm start, both promotions are having to hope Bjerre, Kennett and Boxall (if fit) are not delayed on route.
  19. I would just add to the following to your list. Why is RR #4 and not #2. Danny is the only rider who is ineligible to take one of Cameron's rides so I cannot see the logic of pairing it with a rider who can and, by doing so, narrows the choice if Nico can only appear in heat 14.
  20. On a different topic, Berwick are your opponents in the next round of the KOC after Ipswich failed tonight to overturn a four point deficit from the first leg.
