  1. Speaking of arrangements, Richard Lawson and Lewis Bridger are due to be riding for Lakeside at Belle Vue on Monday. Although both are reserves, can they withdraw and what might be the implications if they do?
  2. No Adam Ellis either as Lakeside are riding the same evening..
  3. Full details here: http://www.ryehouserockets.co/news.php?extend.817
  4. Len never sacks anyone. They just fall on their swords!
  5. Signed. But where does this leave other stadiums which have been in existence before new housing estates have been built, Rye House for example?
  6. From what you appear to be saying Kennett and Lambert will have to turn out for Birmingham or have I misunderstood your post? Anyway, here is the appropriate extract from the 2014 regs.whiich, in this instance, appear to contradict themselves as highlighted. 16.1 Fixtures shall take priority as follows: FIM Speedway Grand Prix, FIM Speedway World Cup, FIM SGP Qualifying Meetings FIM Junior Speedway World Championship Meetings British Championships (Senior, Junior), BSPA Shared and Fee Events Elite League Competitions. Premier League Competitions, National League Competitions 16.1.1 A Rider must be released by a Promotion to take part in a higher priority Meeting. 16.1.1.1 In the case of a Doubling-Up Rider the priority is: 1. Original Fixture List 2. The “owning” Club (ie. is on that Team’s Retained List) 3. If there is no “ownership” then the PL Club has priority
  7. Birmingham are at Eastbourne on Saturday for an EL match. Therefore, I am surprised that Kennett and Lambert are turning out for Rye as I thought official fixtures took priority over challenge matches.
  8. The only reason I say this is that the meeting at Rye House is a challenge match and not an official fixture as defined here: 16.1 Fixtures shall take priority as follows: FIM Speedway Grand Prix, FIM Speedway World Cup, FIM SGP Qualifying Meetings FIM Junior Speedway World Championship Meetings British Championships (Senior, Junior), BSPA Shared and Fee Events Elite League Competitions. Premier League Competitions, National League Competitions 16.1.1 A Rider must be released by a Promotion to take part in a higher priority Meeting. Of course, if you are right, and I'm no expert by any means, Birmingham will be without Barker, Kennett and Lambert when they visit Eastbourne the same day for an official EL fixture and Eastbourne without Lewis Blackbird.
  9. I have been checking the fixture list expecting Rye's first home match to be the second leg of the league cup but see it is still shown as the return challenge match. Then I realise why. Those hoping for at least six Rockets on show will be disappointed. Birmingham ride an EL match at Eastbourne the same day so will have first call on Ed and Simon. Peterborough will be without Joe Jacobs (Wolves away at Leicester) and Lewis Blackbird (Eastbourne). These are not the only clubs missing riders the same day (29th March) and for similar reasons.
  10. Good start for Simon Lambert this evening. 14 from 5 rides in Kent's first leg KO cup win over Devon.
  11. I don't believe arranging skiing holidays in the French Alps has much to do with the UK border agency.
  12. Chris Holder regains title after Jason Doyle falls and is excluded in the final won by Rohan Tungate. Doyle finishes second overall and Grajczonek third after a run-off against Tungate.
  13. Troy Batchelor has withdrawn from the final round owing to knee ligament damage.
  14. Sheffield and Wednesday sounds like a very good combination to me!
  15. Slightly off-topic, but good to see both Olly (Somerset) and Anders (Scunthorpe) are fixed up for next season.
  16. Leigh Lanham lost his team place some days ago.
  17. Richard Lawson has left Workington. Linus will not be at Rye House either.

  19. Weather forecast not too good for tonight: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2646057
  20. Final round of the Euro Championships is tomorrow.
  21. Agreed. Never say never. In the meatime and leaving team riding aside, was the performance by Craig Cook the best seen by any rider around Foxhall this season. I have been to just a few meetings this season but his effortless style, seemingly just letting the bike to do all the work, was very impressive
  22. Never mind about him, it is Dyer the Flyer Rye House have to worry about.
