Still a discrepancy with the Speedway Star which says we've signed Andrews.

Our Official Unofficial website (i.e. the one by Mike Manning) says we've signed Kurtz, Herne, Young, White-Williams and David Gough, but makes no mention of Richard Andrews.

According to the Waspies forum Jay, James, Tom and Richard Andrews confirmed in the Star, plus Todd was on the BSPA site the other day.

Five confirmed by the looks of things. 4 in the Star and Todd.

I suggested Pickard on the Newport forum. His progress impressed me late last season, although Brendan Johnson could be a shout after he rode for us last season. I'd have Ben Reade back on a 3. We aren't going to have any Aussies on 6 points because LFC1892's averages are well out.

I make it that if they go with Tom Young, James White-Williams and a couple of 3 pointers there will be just over 5 for the last rider. A long tail, but if Tom, James and the other rider in the main body can go 6+ not so bad.

I can't see Todd being all that expensive as he isn't going to be riding NL for anybody else. Jay, maybe, but any more so than Tony Atkin and Kyle Newman?

What if the Indian rider is already employed by a Curry house in Longton? He could race on his delivery moped.

Speedway must be the only sport where fans don't want their team to compete at a higher level. I'd be delighted if Newport moved into the Elite League.
