We've been plenty appreciative on the Newport forum, and in person on Sunday. Tim Webster was magnificent, back up well by the rest of the team. I've no doubt if Kyle had completed the meeting he would have been unbeaten too.

In fairness, this isn't unique to Newport. Plenty of other places have speedway teams and nobody knows about them.

I just thought they made people like this up for the Jeremy Kyle Show.

If Sky wanted they could get around the lighting issue. They have a mobile lighting rig which is a single huge floodlight that they erect outside smaller football stadiums when extra light is required.

Lower tier is the worst view in the place. Take it from someone who hasn't just been to speedway there.

Don't bother with taxis, use public transport. Trams, metro and buses will get you wherever you want to go cheaply and reliably.

Getting back to Newport from Cardiff by 'train' last year was a complete joke. When I say train I actually mean bus because the trains for some reason had been replaced by the shonkiest, oldest buses known to man. Added to this the 'driver' employed appeared to have no prior experience of driving coaches, stuggling to pull away from a standstill on most occasions. The traffic through Cardiff was awful, not helped by the driver taking the worst route out of the city imaginable. When we got to the M4 it was also gridlocked. Instead of leaving the motorway sharpish and taking the main roads in to Newport, the know-nothing idiot up front stayed in the traffic for an extra 3 junctions before turning off to go in to Newport. In the end we got back to Newport train station at gone 1am.

Just over a mile from the city centre, and a really nice location next to the bay. Also Newport Central Travelodge is due to open in April, and it is merely minutes by foot from the train station.

I don't think you would have got a refund, partial or not, from any event because of a malfunctioning screen. Seems like complaining for complaining's sake.

Looks about halfway between the speedway track and the castle, but not particularly close to either. I wouldn't bother trying to get close to the stadium for the sake of one tram ride.
