  1. So many questions, in an ideal world the One League system is the way to go but it will have a dramatic effect on the way it operates with costs etc. No way will the likes of Kurtz , Bewley , Fricke , Doyle etc be able to ride in such a League even the so called lesser riders like Masters, Lawson, Harris (Heat leaders in both leagues) prefer and demand to ride in two British league sides to make a living. Its a complicated and sad way the British Leagues have evolved.
  2. he Workington club received information prior to fixture versus Berwick on Saturday 27th September that Fraser Bowes had refused to travel back to the UK from his base in Poland to participate in this final fixture. By Mr Bowes refusing to compete on the 27th of September he has breached SCB Regulation - 017.2 i) Failure to attend from a meeting duly listed on the official fixture list. Due to this breach of the Regulations, Mr Bowes SCB Registration will be suspended for a period of 28 days as from the 27th of September.
  3. Well done to Berwick better team won on the day, Kemp , Jeppsen, and Kildemand were very good for the Bandits . Comets riders seemed to struggle out of the starts, good to see Jye get up from an awkward tumble.
  4. Or all meetings were not completed before the playoffs
  5. Well we try again to finally complete the League season against the Berwick Bandits............and after a week of dry sunny weather there is rain forecast for Saturday , hopefully the rain will move off by then and we have a good race meeting.
  6. Would have traveled up for this meeting but Worky presentation night, should be a good battle .
  7. Massive well done to all the riders today who raced in difficult conditions. Take a bow . Thank you.
  8. This four team meeting is due to get going at 3pm on Saturday afternoon with a host of championship riders. The meeting is a memorial to Jay Cartmell . The weather does not look good however with rain forecast tomorrow.
  9. In the ideal world nationality should not come into it when qualifying for the GP series, if you are good enough then the rider lines up but then it would mean having to qualify every year without the need for Wildcards.
  10. We try again against the Bandits on Sunday but with rain all week again and Sunday looking wet its not looking good.
  11. Middleditch should have been apologetic about the minority of fans from Poole instead he tried to wave it away as banter , not acceptable.
  12. I think it will be the same again with a few minor changes and the Premiership trying to get a couple of teams to move up.
  13. So for the Comets final home league meeting the Berwick Bandits arrive on Sunday when hopefully the Comets can take the win. The weather forecast is for showers on Sunday afternoon but hopefully this will improve over the next few days .
  14. Top seven qualify , all the rest have to go to challenge or challenge qualifier ….that could mix it up
  15. Agree we usually have better crowds when Edinbrugh , Redcar and Glasgow are the opposition those teams tend to bring plenty of supporters .
  16. Has been some real heavy rain all week and last night so probably not.
  17. I think the sprint points Bart got in Wroclaw could prove costly for Kurtz at the end in Voyens
