Workington are back in action this weekend in a KOC tie against Edinburgh Monarchs , the first leg taking place on the Friday evening prior to this meeting. Tate Zisckhe is missing due to being away at Glasgow in a GP 2 qualifier. So will it be raincoats and coffee or sunscreen and ice cream. Who knows...

Bad day for Workington not helped by to many falls , the Comets only got going in the second half of the meeting and by then it was to late . Redcar showed why they are one of the favourites for the Leugue title . Very poor move by Wrighty taking out Antti , he should know better.

Worky will need to be on good form to beat this strong Redcar side . Track conditions will be vitally important on this very warm day . Get behind the lads , come on Worky .

Worst line up ever what we need are some super star riders I suggest we invite some GP riders like Lindgren , Doyle and Zmarzlik that should spice things up.

Another tough meeting this Saturday afternoon for the Comets against a Bears side boasting a strong top four of Wright, Riss, King and Edwards. The Comets will need to be on top form to beat the Redcar side who are one of the favorites this season to make the top four play offs. The weather is still looking good for this weekend so hopefully some Redcar fans will make the journey over from the East to watch this meeting.

Well done to OXO , Poole will still be there at top end of the table at the end the season if they stay clear of injuries

I would have thought a 3pm start for away fans would be ideal time of day for the Speedway, there may be some who work on Saturday afternoon but at least most away fans in the North/Scotland will be home at a reasonable hour. The day of racing will always be contentious and the promotion cannot please everyone , some like Saturday others may prefer Sunday afternoon racing and whilst there are no floodlights in place the only options are afternoon racing.

Redcar win , by how many who knows Batch usually goes well there but most of the team are lacking race fitness , hopefully the lads can give a good account of themselves and put up a fight . Er….52:38

Quite a few riders have had track time (Tate Antti and Fraser ) but not racing at Workington . Jye had a guest booking at Berwick last week and did quite well
