  1. Good signing for Berwick , will make them strong contenders for the play off places.
  2. Another big win for Worky , well done to all the Conete riders on a good team performance
  3. Some rain forecast between 2 and 5 pm , then drying up with sunny weather.
  4. After last weeks win over the Poole Pirates the Comets will be looking for more league points when they take on the Scunthorpe Scorpions. The start time remains at 6pm and gates open at 4:30 pm, hopefully another decent crowd will be in attendance to cheer on the Comets.
  5. Poole are still favourites for the League in my opinion , beaten by the better team yesterday . Some of the comments by Poole fans regarding sacking riders is rather crass. I must mention Tates pass in heat 5 , 😳 As Roy said like a knife through butter !!
  6. Glad to be proved wrong...a great team performance by the Comets team who all looked up for it from the start and all worked hard for every point. A good boost for the Workington management , staff and fans after recent weeks. Well done Worky.
  7. Saturdays meeting is going to be very difficult against a powerful Pirates side which includes the fast starting Premiership rider Richard Lawson, former Comet Paul Starke and the new sensation Will Cairns. Lets all get behind the Comets and try to help them put up a fight and sink the Pirate ship!!
  8. Speedway 2025, Birmingham announce closure at the end of the season, problems at Worky, rain offs, many injuries, guests and more guests, riders going missing riding abroad (yes I know long standing issue).
  9. Glasgow off tomorrow , Edinbrugh forecast doesn’t look good .
  10. Yes been pencilled in for weeks , hosted by Northside but run by flat track championship
  11. IanCharlesPhotos.net - Attis Insurance Sports Division British Final, Not sure if official?
  12. After a long break the Comets get back into action against a Plymouth side who could cause the Comets some problems with riders capable of scoring big points. Ex Comet Nicolai Klindt returns to Workington and will certainly figure in many top clashes with the home riders. The weather forecast is looking good for the weekend so hopefully a big crowd will be present to cheer on Worky to a home victory.
  13. Probably not enough days in the week to fit in fixtures when riders are available due to other commitments, stadium availability and injuries which affect team line ups. Not ideal I know but until another system is brought in we are stuck with the current operating model. I did think at the time when Oxford went up to Edinburgh with a made up team that it was stretching the credibility of the sport!
  14. Don’t like to complain but belle vue cock up again with food and drink provision
  15. We’re always in the top three by many people as favourites for the title .
  16. Regarding Rowe and Kerr, different track , different League.
