  1. Question for Philip Rising , do you know if the ref has apologised yet for excluding Chris Harris?
  2. Sure i read somewhere it was already decided and he was only doing EL and Poland
  3. Job losses at TATA steel at Redcar , Scunthorpe, Lanarkshire....possibly Workington too?
  4. I thought this finally going to be the year for radical changes that there would be planning for the future, that the TR rule would be ditched, there would be many cost cutting suggestions, more promoting of the sport....... As far as im aware there are still many Northern clubs in financial troubles and nothing is going to change that next season, och well.
  5. Over two legs to win.........the head says Edinburgh, the heart says Glasgow....good luck Tigers.
  6. Stop mugging fans at rained off meetings, if its not on dont open the turnstiles.
  7. So as the 2015 season comes to a close i would just like to say a big thank you to all the texters and updaters who have given their time and money to keep us all informed. Cheers.
  8. Great decision by the ref to pull back AJ when he made a great gate!!
  9. I was hoping to come up for this if it was on a Sunday afternoon but cant see me making it now, would mean two days off work. Good luck Glasgow.
  10. Glasgow. Like them or hate them thats the rules, hate TR but stuck with it ........think it might be dumped for next year though. (TR)
  11. Went to this meeting last week and thought the meet was over after heat 3 with the score at 15-3 but fair play to Peterborough for fighting back. Ben Barker looked immaculate, personally did not think he would be back riding this season after the terrible crash in the British Final. Its been five or six years since i have been to Sheffield and the facilites are even better now, all in all a good evening out, the bench mark for all clubs if finances allowed.
  12. So for the Comets last meeting of the season it sees them take on the Dukes of Edinburgh...will it be a case of unbeaten at home all season or going down to the champions elect. Or could be beaten by the weather which does not look good at this stage but things could change. The teams: 1.Wells 2.R/R Rusty Harrison 3.Bach 4.Hansen 5.Howarth 6.Williamson 7. Guest for Wethers. 1.Cook 2.Riss 3.Sedgemen 4.Woelbert 5.Masters 6.Branford 7.Clegg Not sure if this is the correct team order for both teams but should be somewhere near. 42-48......
  13. Why do the moderators let this rubbish clutter up the Forum?
  14. Well done Chris Harris, cannot understand all the people who constantly knock the guy, some of the comments after his success last night were very derrogatry, very strange and immature. Once again well done Bomber.
  15. A great meeting with some very good racing, extra special mentions to Summers and Hansen!! Good to see so many fans come down from Glasgow and make for a good atmosphere, hopefully the Comets can maintain their un beaten run in the final match of the season against Edinburgh (gong to be another tough one).
  16. Should be a good close meeting, welcome back Worky favourite Richard Lawson.
  17. Have just heard on Facebook that the Northside Track has again suffered extensive damage to all facilities at the track including the air fence from vandals. This could mean the end of Speedway for the forseeable future at the track or may be forever. One thing is for sure however the mindless thugs who did this will never do anything with their lives.
  18. Some riders, some bikes, some laps...hopefully a safe meeting for all.
  19. Sorry my fault Harkess.....to tell the truth i was in two minds wether to write this topic in view of recent events, kind of put me off Speedway really.
  20. Rather than dwell on the Alex Harkness interview i thought i would highlight the item in this weeks Star with Sale Sharks head of Media Dave Swanton. Dave at least comes up with some ideas about improving Speedway and dragging it into the 21st century , some ideas may take money to be invested other,s just hard work, an interesting interview nonetheless.
  21. The reality is that most clubs are experiencing reduced numbers at Speedway for different reasons (cost/rules/stadia/promotion of the sport or many other forms of entertainment available) im not sure but to blame Keith Denham is laughable when the man put is heart soul and money in to keeping Workington Speedway alive.
  22. The Comets take on the Bears of Redcar in this Premier League encounter at Derwent Park. The Comets will have rider replacment for Rusty Harrison and Richie Worrall guests for Kyle Howarth. Should be interesting....50-40.
  23. Should be a close scoreline..... The Dukes of Edinbrugh to win the League or possibly Glasgow all depends when Masters and Kauko can return from their injuries.
