  1. I very much doubt Worky will be running next year, I’ve been going since 1978 but even I am a youngster compared to some fans who were there since the start in 1970
  2. It’s very nice to hear all the good wishes from other fans and not the negative comments ( although some of them are true!) I too thought rasser got third and not second in that close heat and wrote 1-5 in the programme , some really forceful but fair riding by the Comets last night , well done one and all, commiserations to Scunthorpe who although tried hard were well beaten. Hope Jason Garrity is ok, I doubt even if he was fit to continue it would have made any difference . Thanks again.
  3. This is it the second leg of the play off final against Lakeside , with the first leg taking place at Rye House on Saturday night the Comets will know the task they face to win overall. Can we make history , let’s hope for another big crowd on Sunday night to cheer the lads on.
  4. Wow , another fantastic team performance, me I never was in doubt about the result Another big crowd to, lets hope we can bring some more silverware back to DP.
  5. This would work if all the fixtures were completed on time
  6. Wetherspoons, good value, clean, good products. Speedway........
  7. Not many days left in October to complete three finals and the League fixtures, the Championship is turning into a damp squib rather than the finale of the season.
  8. Cannot see Worky coming back from this , especially without Ty Proctor.
  9. Reading the report on the BSPA site last night from Rye House it seems that Rasmus took another knock but kept on racing despite some discomfort! Whatever happens in the next few meetings this years Comets team have been fantastic, fixture farce, injuries and rain offs, for those about to race we salute you. A TEAM TO BE PROUD OF .
  10. Light rain forecast for most of the day, due to stop around 5:00pm
  11. Great from Worky tonight with a depleted team , hope Ty is ok.
  12. Once again the paying public suffer...….Speedway in the UK.
  13. The first meeting in this double header versus Lakeside is the second leg of the Championship Shield trophy cup medal medallion locket, so by Friday night we will know what sort of lead (?) the Hammers have to bring to Derwent Park. The second meeting is a League fixture the abandoned one from a few weeks ago but one we must complete , if nothing else but to prove the professionalism of the sport. Such a shame the last meetings that are vital for the Comets are all finals and are squeezed into a few days in October when really the League fixtures should have been completed by August , leaving September and worst case scenario October free for the finals. Hope Rasmus is fit and well for the last weeks of the season, rider of the year for the Comets. Good luck Worky.
