  1. Schlein went in arse first and seemed to hit the join of 2 fence panels... god knows what's behind them!
  2. Not really, tbh. Holders bike lifted the air fence at Cov and he followed it in underneath. Schlein hit the bags in what what looked like an innocuous way, still at some speed though, but he hit the bags rather than the track and the bags didn't budge at all. If he'd gone in like Holder did... well, I dread to think!
  3. Last year I was walking up the hill to the turnstiles at Leicester when a few of the Sheffield mob ran by me they were yawping at the top of their voices effin' and a jeffin'. Not setting a great example decked out in their Tigers gear... but when Tai Woffinden is their role model who can blame them?
  4. Calamity then struck in Heat 14 when after aggressive first bend bunching Dan Gilkes who was left with no room on the outside, was catapulted into the Air Fence. It was a shocking impact and the Emergency Ambulance and Paramedics were quickly on the scene and their hard work is to be both applauded and much appreciated by all concerned. After a lengthy delay to extricate and stabilise Dan he was transferred to the Ambulance and off the Track. A short delay ensued whilst a replacement County Ambulance was called for to back up the Track Paramedic vehicle and after a lengthy delay racing recommenced.
  5. Granted... but I think when you're at the level of Bewley, Woffinden & Lambert (not Simon ) the difference often comes down to marginal gains and home track knowledge can often be the deciding factor. It's no coincidence that Poland for example as unbeatable as many people think they are find it very difficult to win World team events at senior level outside of Poland.
  6. Leicester! Centrally located, great parking, just up the road from me and crucially... universally hated
  7. I think you're also more likely to see a home winner under the current format of semi and final than under the old 20 heat top scorer wins method. If the home hero has a stinker in one of his rides he can still pick up the pieces. But then there is always the Andy Smith paradox that completely disproves that theory
  8. Bewley currently has a home average of 8.40 and away of 7.47, I'm not going to search through every rider but I'd bet you could count the number on one hand of those with a higher away average than home, if any at all... so the answer is yes. Do you think Bewley would have won on any other track? Possibly, would he have beaten Robert Lambert around King's Lynn? The top 3 brits in the "away" averages are 1. Scott Nicholls 2. Tai Woffinden 3. Dan Bewley
  9. Come on Tom... oh no! He rides for Poole! Oh bugger it! Come on Tom!
  10. If he was up against Bomber, Ellis and Worrall...
  11. As good as Brennan has been so far tonight and he's improved a great deal this season, he's been very much a nearly man, nearly qualified for the SEC, nearly qualified for the GP Challenge... he's got to seal the deal tonight!
  12. Don't think I've ever seen such a topsy turvy British Final!
  13. But has Brennan won anything on the big stage when it mattered? That's why I say if he can wrap this up then get him in!
  14. That'd be a ballsy call to make. If Brennan can win this thing then maybe yes
  15. The Scunthorpe "safety" fence is not on his side, to put the blame on Schlein's body is pretty low!
