  1. To support an ex-Lion and good servant to British Speedway and for a night of entertaining Speedway... I don't think it's too controversial to say I would have "preferred" an individual meeting is it?
  2. Leicester already off, on the same forecast. But it happened on opening night, Leicester cancelled on a forecast, Oxford ran. Watching the weather cross the country on the radar could be more exciting than the meeting on this one!
  3. Probably the correct decision imo... but 3 home matches in May & June!!!! Interestingly, Oxford not yet cancelled on the same forecast
  4. I think it does, or I might as well have just bank transferred £23 and saved myself the journey up from Leicester. It's still an event that should be trying to attract a crowd and be worth winning. It would have been nice to see the riders in the 2 "teams" also racing each other. Apart from a couple of incidents when Pickering and Allen nearly ended their seasons... it was a pretty dull affair. looked like some of the riders cared a little too much, there were some real heart in the mouth moments
  5. Yes... I did debate that for quite a while before typing it out, I'm not keen on have to have. But good spot I've been busted by the grammar police That @tyretraxis quite a rude chap though
  6. I've re-read your post, makes no mention of it... all I can see is you can't spell Worrall correctly
  7. Would have preferred to see an individual rather than a contrived team event where nobody really cares who wins
  8. But wouldn't it have to of been accepted by the guy he called a weasel?
  9. He did run Peterborough until he was kicked out, presumably because he wanted to sell his "asset", even though there were no serious buyers and still wants to sell a franchise with no track. And even though Lynn is/was for sale I doubt he'd just shut up shop and accept the loss.
  10. There's nothing on the SCB website about a ban... yet, they're probably still trying to figure out the wording When is a ban not a ban? When it's in Speedway
  11. Finally the scales are falling from your eyes with regards to Buster!
  12. I must have missed Covatti's declaration... If I have then fair enough Kurtz rode for BV on 20/5, Covatti for Plymouth on 24/5 Kurtz missed the Oxford match on 23/5, Covatti missed the Poole match on 1/6 Kurtz rode in the GP Quali 25/5, Covatti rode on the continent on 2/6 Both missed their next British meetings. Covatti has not been given the opportunity to ride in the UK again for 28 days, courtesy of his ban the day after he rode, Kurtz has not been banned.
  13. Another 28 day ban coming up... as his name is not Brady Kurtz
  14. It certainly finished him as a world force... such a shame
  15. Schlein went in arse first and seemed to hit the join of 2 fence panels... god knows what's behind them!
  16. Not really, tbh. Holders bike lifted the air fence at Cov and he followed it in underneath. Schlein hit the bags in what what looked like an innocuous way, still at some speed though, but he hit the bags rather than the track and the bags didn't budge at all. If he'd gone in like Holder did... well, I dread to think!
  17. Last year I was walking up the hill to the turnstiles at Leicester when a few of the Sheffield mob ran by me they were yawping at the top of their voices effin' and a jeffin'. Not setting a great example decked out in their Tigers gear... but when Tai Woffinden is their role model who can blame them?
  18. Calamity then struck in Heat 14 when after aggressive first bend bunching Dan Gilkes who was left with no room on the outside, was catapulted into the Air Fence. It was a shocking impact and the Emergency Ambulance and Paramedics were quickly on the scene and their hard work is to be both applauded and much appreciated by all concerned. After a lengthy delay to extricate and stabilise Dan he was transferred to the Ambulance and off the Track. A short delay ensued whilst a replacement County Ambulance was called for to back up the Track Paramedic vehicle and after a lengthy delay racing recommenced.
