  1. If last season was anything to go by you'll be able to watch most of the Thursday night matches if you're a Sheffield fan All matches were due to be available this year until 31/10 but due to the Edinburgh match (I think) they made them available through the winter too as a gesture of good will
  2. I wish we had a "Rosco" button where we could turn him on or off
  3. £60-£80 on Beer! I suppose it's the best way to watch Speedway at Lynn
  4. Really? Didn't realise he was an ex rider... it's good to have friends in high places though
  5. You can view the Council meeting at the following link: Scroll to around 2:29:00 and the discussion on Brandon takes place for around 15 minutes. This Tony Gillias seems a bit of a superstar!
  6. I don't know do you? Perhaps he's not committed enough? Like I've mentioned he wasn't going to come back to the UK a while back, without being too personal he seems a bit "big" for a Speedway rider. I can only hope that the special one has gotten to the bottom of the "reasons" for his "crap" season last year and can rectify them... If he's just picked him because of a low average on the back of a crap season as soon as the transfer window opens he'll be out... again!
  7. 2 number 1's from the 2 teams that finished bottom and bottom but one... and Jake Allen has a 4 point average for a reason
  8. Surely Scott Nicholls & Connor Mountain would have been the obvious choices, Nicholls seems to have elected for Poland though and I'm still scratching my head at the omission of Mountain
  9. Hope I'm proven wrong but Allen is hardly one for the future and only seems to have gone backwards in the last few years and nearly didn't come back one year, so you have to question his commitment/ambition I don't know if something has gone on behind the scenes but Mountain has hardly figured for Leicester since being signed in 2018
  10. I don't really remember any specific performances but I do remember him riding like a heat leader one week and then a reserve the next... you never really knew what you were going to get. Didn't he go on to be a successful engine tuner under the guise of Finn Rune Jensen?
  11. I understand why they do it, liquidising their assets, just has a finality about it. I'm guessing Leicester were keen to get on with their "improvements"
  12. Just speaking how he comes across to me. Don't want negativity from your Captain
  13. Not sure you can quantify it in points on an average, but there's no doubt he's worth points in the pits, especially when the chips are down. Still the only rider to Captain the Lions to a league title... I'd too have him back in a heartbeat, it seems a no brainer to me
  14. Not sure what you mean by these days? I think they should be as they always have been, Inspirational, set an example to the other riders in the team, be available for advice, be a link between the riders and management etc.
  15. It's baffling that he's decided to sit the PL out... for how long who knows. I would have thought that having Leicester as a home track would have suited him down to the ground
  16. Well I suppose if Pete Adams selected him that's quite an endorsement
  17. Not sure he's captain material... seems a bit moany whenever he's interviewed, I suppose the obvious choice is Bomber but, much as I love him, he's a bit of a mercenary these days. There's no other obvious choice really
  18. Our Captain has signed for Sheffield... no surprise there really, I wonder who will get the armband now?
  19. The only "bargain" averages are those riders that started their careers here and then ditched the BL and made their names and became better riders on the continent and would come back on their old averages, or maybe riders with assessed averages. Riders with poor averages because they've had a crap season are not bargains imo
