This was never going to finish with both teams operating R/R in both matches -
NEWS FLASH! It is

Are all riders tested or is it random?

Do you think he was drinking by himself?

They should do what they do in the GP and have a clock on the centre showing how much of the 2 mins is left, if a rider isn't ready, he's out. It works brilliantly in the GP, a few riders got excluded once and it never happened again. Generally speedway is run in such a slap dash way that (perhaps it should be renamed to this, slapdashway) that the 2 mins can easily end up being 3, yes I have timed it in the past (anorak!)

Third! Yes Brilliant! -
Great drainage at Leicester!

I don't believe this is the case for one moment, surely every right thinking speedway fan wants this to happen. It's just that the tease of this thread was for some concrete news and quite frankly it's no further forward from happening today as it was at the beginning of the week/month/year.

I wish the Leicester track had been based on Blackbird Road, never mind. Good luck though

And while we're being all negative, I don't know why Gordon/Morton keep going off to have a look at Torun, if the artist impression is anything to go by they'd be better off going to the East of England Showground

No news then

I blame the fans, yes those of you that attended should know that the Coventry track becomes unrideable after even a little bit of rain, this is why I stay away if there's been any rain on it on the afternoon of a meeting, it's been the same for the last 10 or 15 years. This kind of thing usually happens at least once a season and people still go and are still surprised. I'm afraid you only have yourself to blame

Congrats to Tai. I've been a critic of his in the past before this season, but he really has turned his career around and fulfilled his potential and is now a model professional. Hopefully he can be an inspiration to some of our other youngsters!

Not even that anymore judging by the coverage last night's display has got on the BSPA website... perhaps it was a bad dream and hasn't really happened

Swc, Event Two, King's Lynn 15/7
IainB replied to Northern Exile's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think he's doing what the BSPA want him to do, pick a team, turn up, say the right things, lose, see you next year... not rock the boat with plans on how to start to get us out of the international mess we're now in. Rob Lyon tried to start to do something about it a few years ago and look where that got him -

Anybody know if the roadworks around Wisbech are complete? -
Fair play to Woffy, I've been one of his critics in the past, but this season he seems to have cleaned his act up and stepped up to the level of a professional sportsman

Message To The Leicester Promotor
IainB replied to robert72's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I've been attending speedway for over 35 years, started at Blackbird Road, switched to Brandon when Leicester closed and also followed Long Eaton when they were invading. I live only a mile away from BP and I could count on the fingers of one hand the amount of times I've been... and purely because of the lack of racing on track. My last visit was to the match vs Young Aussie last summer and it was one of the worst (non weather effected) matches I've ever been to, I left during the interval after heat 10. I vowed never to return after that until changes had been made to the track, although changes have been made... it doesn't sound promising. To those that say "at least you have speedway", I reply... that ain't speedway! -

it's only because they have no GP filler to use anymore -
I'm not sure what's wrong with the rest of the track... but bend 2 goes uphill
-
Well that's me and Beaumont Park through! I said I'd never go again but got tempted by this one... What a mistake! Young lions were for the most part pathetic, racing almost non existent... Don't know what it was like after the interval as I left... With a load of others! The last match I went to was in the KOC vs Workington... Have I just been unlucky or is this the type of rubbish that is served up every week?

Most of the Riders in the game today seem, to me, to be uneducated morons. I agree, stick a camera in front of a rider straight after an incident and don't be surprised to hear a bit of language but you only have to take a look at a number of high profile riders' Twitter feeds to see the language that is used... some of them even asking for sponsorship on the same feed... unbelievable! Michael Lee and Kenny Carter, 2 of the most volatile riders of the TV past always managed to curb their language, the worst I can remember either of them saying was "bloody"... compare this to the current World Champion saying B@stards live on national radio prior to the Cardiff GP, and he's supposedly the best the sport has to offer!
