  1. I wonder if that's why Jason Crump has returned to these shores?
  2. and whether he was training or dicking about
  3. I'm not sure these riders are securing highly paid jobs in the city, I think the chance of earning a few hundred quid to a grand a night compared to minimum wage driving a van is a pretty easy decision to make.
  4. Free pass for Dave then... Can't pass comment on the way Premier Sport change their schedules and mess everybody about? Just pay my money over and keep quiet?
  5. Is this a vision of the future at British Speedway tracks? https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8880600
  6. Unlikely as he get's 80% of his commentary content from here and Twitter It's racers and royals who keeps people informed on here
  7. I went to Glasgow for the PO Final last year and from the moment you turn up at the stadium it feels like you're going to be watching a professionally run sport, it's the standard all other clubs should be aiming for... it's just a shame they can't make it pay! I went to the first GP at Hackney and started off by standing on one of the "grass banks" until being moved on... then the best viewing position I could find was actually below the track and we stood there looking up at it, never went again. They should have called themselves the London White Elephants
  8. The presenters have both been on Twitter indicating they will... but as we all know that's no guarantee
  9. Isn't that how Sam Ermolenko pronounces Woryna?
  10. Yes they have haven't they, for a dragon, yet they still call themselves Rebels? Is there a connection between Rebels and Dragons?
  11. I was trying to be funny... with a touch of irony, you take me far too seriously
  12. Contribution? His contribution has been to ask questions about what's going on with televised meetings and certain rules etc. Then about as decisive as Katie Perry with tonight's meeting You can't come on here and have a free ride just because you're employed by a bunch of clowns Let's not forget we're paying customers. To be honest I'm not that fussed whether it's on or not, it's been Speedway overload this week anyway. I find it quite funny actually we've all worked for useless companies/bosses. Eurosport's coverage is still the big unanswered question, can a leopard ever change its spots?
  13. I can appreciate all you say, all I'm saying is I think he was a bit quick in throwing the bike away, it wasn't as if he was near the fence, didn't even try to regain control of the bike, just threw it at the nearest rider
  14. I don't know if you noticed but it did end up in carnage. If he'd held on to it a bit longer and tried to lay it down it may have been avoided. He decided to just throw his bike at Bellago instead though
  15. After the news regarding the NFL Washington R words and Rugby Union C words "having" to drop their club emblems, should Speedway take a look at itself? Ipswich W words Poole P words Somerset R words Birmingham B words Berwick B words Edinburgh M words Kent K words & R words Armadale D words Isle of Wight W words Plymouth G words
  16. Very disappointed in Sam last night, I think he nailed the pronunciation of Woryna every single time I thought the Russian was a bit quick to let go of the bike. Well done Robert Lambert, European Champion
  17. You've also got to factor in the weather... and quarantine... and the airline going bust... and dangerous tracks... and electrical fires Good luck!
  18. I wouldn't bank on it... he's often on here asking what's going on
  19. Maybe time to rename the League to "Elite League"... oh hang on a minute, they already tried that
  20. In the UK the team changes tend to be dictated by team points limits and transfer deadlines not necessarily a riders performance, hence 2 average riders performing quite well could be dumped for a "heat leader" and a 2 point reserve to make up the numbers
  21. Yes, he really wanted it that night, it was the only place to be on the track though at that stage with Cookie hugging the line to hand Kingy the title
  22. Obviously none of us know what the BSPA have or haven't done or how hard they have tried to get Speedway on this season but we can see by their actions that they have left the riders high and dry with no contingency plan. Once the league programme was cancelled an intention to run a meaningful series of individual meetings for British riders should have been announced, a far more flexible solution than a whole league programme.
  23. I don't know that I've ever seen Dudek make a genuine pass on anybody, he seems to have a nice style, maybe doesn't move around on the bike enough. Danny King is another rider who has a nice style but never seems to pass anybody
  24. Do you really expect BLM supporters to turn up at "White City"
