  1. Stayed at the Scandic in Kolding, flew into Aarhus on the Ryanair and hired a car for the weekend
  2. Didn't Woffy win his 2nd championship when Emil elected not to compete? I think it was the year that Emil won the SEC, I remember thinking at the time can Woffy really claim to be World Champion when a rider of Emil's quality and the form he was in was not in the competition... Then I thought yes he can
  3. The trouble is running the cup comps at the end of the season, as tends to happen now, is that you get the same teams in the league play offs and the cup comps due to them being the strongest at the end of the season and then you get clubs having to run double headers against the same team and having the same team visit 2 or 3 weeks on the trot. If they were run throughout the season as they used to be clubs that don't make the play offs would also have a chance at extending their season. If Leicester had been in the cup at the beginning of the season they may have got further than they did by the time their team had been decimated
  4. You're a very silly person, don't dare to presume what I think
  5. Does that include Sam Ermolenko, Ronnie Correy and all of the Karlsson's?
  6. Brining it back to Britain's greatest ever speedway rider for a moment... Does anybody know what's happened to the real World Championship trophy and why he's not showing it off in place of that cheap piece of tat he's been given
  7. I'm pretty sure Les was using one at Leicester in the lead up to the 82 world final... May explain his phenomenonal form that year
  8. I'll agree that having a lot of meetings packed into a short space of time with double headers, against the same opposition is pretty poor but the last home match at Leicester was Monday September the 3rd... 2 months of the season still to go, Belle Vue finished a month early...
  9. I thought he was one of the early riders to ride the new (at the time) GM engine. Les was one of the most underrated naturally talented riders I've ever seen
  10. It's ok to reflect society but the BBC massively over represents minorites that suit them, one assumes because the organisation is lead by people of these minorites. It's almost impossible to turn on a BBC programme these days without having one minority or another's issue being rammed in your face. I'm not opposed at all to any minority at all having air time but it must be proportional to their population. The same goes for Speedway, just because men's football is the most popular sport in the country/world doesn't automatically mean that the women's version of the game should also be equal, the quality is no where near the same as the men's game you only have to look at the attendances and the match scores to see this
  11. The Speedway season runs from March until October, so as it's only halfway through October and it looks as if all the fixtures will be complete by the end of the month, I'd say that it's been planned to perfection
  12. And all of that could possibly be thrown into confusion with the proposed tightening of the IR35 laws
  13. Or he could be being deported as he's living here and not working here
  14. Did you see the white line though? It looked as though it had been painted during an earthquake!
