  1. Berwick were "promoting" him as being in the team even today... when the rest of us knew yesterday that he wouldn't even be riding on Monday for Oxford!
  2. Recently it's been quite refreshing to see Huckenbeck not always at the F#*kenback 😁
  3. Let's not forget that the GP's were tucked away on the red button on quite a few occasions, it's always been the poor relation when push comes to shove, it'll always be shoved because of its status in this country.
  4. No volunteers, no speedway. Just like F1 Marshals, they're all volunteers
  5. If there's a meeting on yes... but there's no meeting on in Poland tonight.
  6. You've got to stop putting these images in my head!
  7. For somebody to complain and then miss his team's meeting to go and practice in Poland for a match tomorrow takes some neck!
  8. It could happen if Council's were more insistent at enforcing their own local plans that are guided by the National Planning Policy Framework that stipulates sporting clubs cannot be thrown out of their homes without alternative provisions being provided
  9. That's the trouble when many of your peers miss speedway meetings in dubious circumstances it reflects on the wider profession.
  10. Why no Klindt? The Plymouth website seems to have shut down since June the 10th with not even a mention of their new signing!
  11. Maybe a dental appointment... and he's got a letter from him mum?
  12. It's not an English entitlement thing, it's really not. I do agree that riders riding in Poland should try and learn the language, I think Robert Lambert has hasn't he? Isn't his Mrs Polish though? But like it or not English is the international language in the western world, there can't be many global sports where all the participants don't have a decent grasp of English.
  13. I was thinking more of World Speedway than British Speedway, although British Speedway would benefit from a higher profile if World Speedway were more successful. The SGP series is at its lowest ebb pretty much since its inception... Havvy & Woffy English speakers? Lol, they both did have mainstream cut through though as did Nielsen, Crumpy and Hancock all of whom I've seen on non Speedway specific media. I dare say that if Nicki and Trick had been champions in the current social media age we'd have heard a lot more from them. Totally agree with your last couple of sentences.
  14. I do get your point... but for a sport that "was" trying to break into new territories having world champions at junior and senior level who don't really have a great grasp of the English language is not great for marketing. Brilliant for Poland, not so much the rest of the planet. I'm afraid that trying to sell a GP in the US or Aussie with "me score big points" doesn't really cut it. Rule Britannia! Britannia waves the rules! πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§
  15. Do Worky season ticket holder's have a right to know?
  16. He walked out on Peterborough, he walked out on Rybnik... what could possibly go wrong at Birmingham πŸ€”πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ It'd just be another chapter in the psychodrama that is Birmingham Speedway... more plot twists than an episode of Crossroads!
