Genuinely, a mate of mine said to me last weekend that he fancied coming to Cardiff with me this year as he's seen a bit of it on TV and I'd always said how good it was... I told him he was 25 years too late... needless to say he didn't fancy Manchester ๐งโ๏ธ
But looking at this match Rybnik ain't all that, every league has its winners and losers.
I don't think British Speedway comes across all that well on TV, no matter what Phil Morris does, due to the quality of the stadia (NSS excepted) it all looks a bit amateurish. It still stands up as a live experience for me though.
I've been saying this for a while... maybe even 5 man teams. Can't be doing with what they did before though back in the day when they had that "ghost" rider, wouldn't want to see that back.
What an improvement from Lions number 7 position! Gilkes won heat 2 and whenever he was behind he was always buzzing around his opponents back wheel... Lions now riding with the team they probably should have started with, should be good for 4th or 3rd in the league (injuries permitting)
Cracking ride from Musi in 15 ๐
Compare that to the division 2 crowds of both meetings this afternoon... and what top league crowds in this country would give for any of those numbers seen out in Poland watching live Speedway today!
I hate to interrupt the Poole love/hate fest... but a shout out to young Joe Thompson with 14(+1) big points and a match winning 2nd place in heat 15 ๐
Reading the words "Track Waterlogged" did seem a bit fishy, especially after around 3 weeks in Leicester without any appreciable rain... but it did rain again at 19:30 so probably the right call in the end
