  1. well, what an enjoyable evening. I am so glad I may the effort to get up to Ashfield. As soon as you enter through the new entrance lobby you are struck by how professional it all seems. Really encouraging to be on a packed terrace close to the action and a good atmosphere. Recommend you al try and get there this season.
  2. most exciting meeting of season for me so far.. a draw would have been fair result.
  3. if manchester city are at home at 5.30 on the tele that sat evening mightn't this meeting actually not take place when stated??
  4. good racing on a well prepared track. ...trouble is my wife doesn't believe i actually went to rye house tonight as back early and don't smell of shale...
  5. sounds like we could have been looking at 30 pieces of silver
  6. rust = the colour of my bathwater last night.
  7. well I thoroughly enjoyed this meeting... but then I always like some incidents to enliven things..
  8. most enjoyable meeting so far this season. Eagles deserved a point. I'd say crowd tonight was on a par with Brummies last week. c. 1,000..total guess.. The guy on the door was counting us all in and van Stratten twice asked him for running total. CVS seemed happy enough.. didn't hear the answer though from over the fence... also, can't remember the last time heat 2 of a league meeting produced the fastest time of the night!
  9. Crowd were very subdued from the first heat when Zagar tailed off... The chap on the mike did absolutely nothing to help the atmosphere one jot. Cringed every time he opened his mouth, especially re his faux pas with Natalie...Why do promotions ask people who aren't speedway savvy to do this?.. Memories of Leicester's opening night came flooding back..
  10. I am aware of a schism in British speedway. Those fans attending the Cardiff GP who rarely attend domestic league racing, and those who do the opposite. discuss.
  11. if racing is as good as last week this will be one to watch.. Sky's choices are unfathomable.
  12. its going to be worth going to all Plymouth meetings to see young Holder...what a prospect
  13. well i really enjoyed this meeting. plenty of incidents to keep it interesting..
  14. I went to both (and enjoyed both) but thought the rye house meeting was actually more enjoyable!
  15. Question: Should Eastbourne have been able to use a guest for David Mason given that he's never ridden for them?? thought there was a rule that outlawed this..maybe i'm wrong..
  16. morley tried to pass as owen was shaping up to take 3rd bend..there was no room there..correct decision imv but having said that not sure ref had a good enough view to judge.
  17. spent all day in A&E and read it cover to cover..thank god I took it with me!
  18. I concede Arlington track as-is is preferable to the IOW.
  19. welcome to the National League. .boot on other foot now!
  20. hard to tell after this one meeting I know but if Cradley walk the league again where the hell do they go from there?
