I could've told the Panthers promotion that before they went out and got Morris It's a shame for Ashley, but he really hasn't had a good season. After that injury he sustained at our track last year whilst riding for Wolves, it's probably dinted his confidence somewhat and understandably so.
-
Got to try and take a positive out of the situation Lukas. The injuries have made it a bit of a disaster (understatement!) but the promotion, generally speaking, have mostly got it right with the guests they have picked. To come away with a point from Workington last night was good going I thought.
-
Don't think I will be bothering to make the trip now... Weather doesn't look great for Glasgow Sunday and it's an awfully long way to go just for one meeting! Think Workington should be OK to get their meeting on tomorrow. The weather doesn't look so bad there. If any other Panthers supporters are going to make the trip up, I hope they see something worth seeing! Although, one word about the guests on Saturday...will Josh still ride as apparently he had a crash last night?

Kings Lynn Vs Belle Vue : Wed 23rd July

Ha! Stiltonpanther was standing with bigcatdiary at the pits one week a few months back. That's when I was introduced! -
I thought they did needed to qualify in the same way that all the others have?
-
Yes I thought that. He's not been doing very well at Lynn this season and he's only just started scoring fairly well for Ipswich. Perhaps Redcar are racing somewhere on Saturday night? Not looked at the fixtures... And now I'm kinda unsure as to whether I will make this northern tour or not I'm so undecided!

I'd say 2 weeks is being very optimistic myself But then again, I'm no doctor! What do I know?!

Nice to see you away from "home" -
I'd heard that Simon had broken his shoulder on the grapevine as well I was planning on going to Workington/Glasgow this weekend for the first time ever, but I'm unsure as to whether I will go now or not...

I was going to mention that! I was there! It caused no end of arguments in the crowd! Nielsen got a bit of stick I think from Dudley fans that night. -
Really hoping for good news on Simon! Has anyone heard anything?

Belle Vue V King's Lynn 20 July, 2015
em1500uk replied to Aces51's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not surprised by the result. Belle Vue have a decent 1-7. And I think people are right to feel angry with how Kenneth is performing...he's supposed to be a second heatleader. How many meetings has he scored 10+ in this season? It can't be that many I wouldn't have thought? I think his issues are more psychological than anything though mind you. -
Suspected dislocated shoulder is also what I've seen reported. If so, either way, he could be out for a few weeks. Hoping to hear better news! Sending Simon best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Seems like Lewis is riding at Belle Vue on the Monday, but Robert isn't, so perhaps it will be the same scenario for Wednesday's meeting? -

Now now Lets not start off this kind of debate on here -
A great display by Nicklas Porsing on Friday and if Lewis is going to be out for a while, then having him in as a temporary replacement would be welcomed in my book Racing at PL level over here could help him too. Seems to have sorted his issues out and is scoring well for Lynn at present, so why not. I wish Lewis a speedy recovery. Such a shame but I don't think he had looked himself ever since he returned to racing after that nasty spill back in May against...Plymouth I think it was from memory? He shouldn't continue to race in discomfort. On a separate note, Rafal Konopka scored 7 (3, 2, F, 2) whilst guesting at reserve for Newcastle at Workington last night All previous joking aside (from me anyway) I hope he sorts himself out now. He did look good on Friday but I think equipment issues could be his main hindrance. If he could get that sorted out, he could well be an improvement on Ollie Greenwood after all Not that I ever disliked Greenwood, but his scores certainly weren't what they were last year and out of the two reserves, Simon Lambert has performed consistently better than Ollie.

Peterborough V Plymouth Pl 28th June
em1500uk replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well...that was a turn out for the books! Didn't stay for the MDL meeting in the end. All of the Panthers riders, bar Michael Palm Toft, looked very sluggish today I have to say. Basically, Plymouth were just faster overall. Don't know what the problems are for each individual, but I hope they're resolved soon. And as for this Konopka guy...at present, the less that he's mentioned the better LOL! One last place, one exclusion due to a mechanical issue when the red light came on as he wasn't under power at the time, then to top it off, one retirement. Oh my word! Not giving a good impression on his debut that's for certain. -

I remember her posting on here lots. Like a few others here, I never had the pleasure of meeting her, but I'm sending condolences to her family and friends. Rest in peace "Shazzy". -
Poole V Kings Lynn - Wednesday 3rd June.
em1500uk replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm very sorry to see you type this Chris (and I know your feelings as we've spoken about it in person!) I sat last Thursday out through choice and I can't say I missed it as such either. I was quite happy at home watching Springwatch I knew someone who did both Lynn and Peterborough meetings on Thursday/Friday last week and he said the meeting at Peterborough on Friday was much better overall (he revised his initial thought that Lynn's meeting was better by about heat 13!) I've found myself enjoying speedway at Peterborough more than ever these days, so I will continue to go down the A47 to visit our neighbours to see Premier League racing... I hope the "Stars Select" do something at Poole tonight, but I think that may well be wishful thinking! Exactamondo. If Sky hadn't have been there, the meeting would've been called off I think before it had even started! -
Panthers V Berwick 29/5/2015 Premier League 7.30pm
em1500uk replied to mudflaps's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Bizarre but I believe this to be the case...unless Phillips was just called upon as a one off? EDIT: no wait, I've misread your original message He should've been Peterborough's number 8 on the updates and not Berwick's! The whole EL is better than PL or vice versa I think is nonsense. You can see good meetings and bad meetings at any level of the sport. Be that in an SGP or SEC meeting right down to the NL! And I've seen some boring NL meetings in my time but some really good ones too! -

Don't worry! It will just count as an early interval if it happens again I imagine, like on Friday night. I'm not making a big deal out of it. It's just the first time that I've personally known it to happen there that's all. And credit to Peterborough that they then consider that the interval instead of having another one later! -
Exactly LOL! I wasn't! I just thought of everyone up there just hanging around waiting for something to happen. I just despaired when I looked at the updates. The interval after heat 10 or whatever is fair enough...so long as there's not been an extremely lengthy delay beforehand. It just annoys people and it's not ideal for families I'm sure.
