  1. Me and my father worked this out just recently when we decided to consider taking season tickets...but like you say, only he would need to purchase a concessional season ticket. For me to spend £300 on the adult season ticket would just not be worth while. You'd just have to hope that the Panthers progressed through all competitions, but there's no guarantee of that happening! Now I detect a hint of sarcasm
  2. I'm going to guess at...absolutely no one else is happy bar me The race days they've picked should be OK for families with younger children I would've said. No school on Saturdays and at the time they run on Sundays, they should all be home in enough time to get to bed ready for school on a Monday
  3. Not posted here in a while! Good to see that the admission prices have been frozen for this year Upon looking through the fixtures, I'm personally quite happy to see a fair few meetings going ahead on a Sunday late afternoon or early evening. Works a treat for me! Good to see that bank holiday Mondays are also back as there didn't seem to be many, if any, used as fixture dates last year. They also work well for me! As for the Friday dates that are used, because they're spread out a bit, asking to leave a little early from work shouldn't be much of a bother. All in all, I'm happy. I don't know about anyone else
  4. It's annoying enough having guests in the EL! So I understand fans frustrations, particularly if you've travelled to say, Berwick for example, only to find several of your teams riders missing. Yes. Yes that's what I was trying to explain I knew of that rule change as it came up at Lynn's recent fans forum. So wait, that does mean that Simon will be missing when Leicester race then Hmm. Well, let's hope neither Lynn's or Leicester's fixtures clash with the Panthers then! EDIT: yes, I am also an idiot for making an incorrect statement before hahaha!
  5. Blackbird will race for Peterborough so I think, and hope, that the only rider that may well miss a few fixtures during the course of the season, will be Robert Lambert as we own him and we're using him too. Could be a touchy subject that, being old rivals and all that
  6. No. Leicester won't have priority. Peterborough will. The PL club will take priority over the EL club where neither club owns the rider. That's how I understand it anyway. Robert Lambert will miss a few fixtures when Lynn have an EL fixture...that's if we end up with clashes. Welcome to Simon anyway Just wonder who the final rider will be. I personally don't want to see Dilger again, but that's just my own view, and I'm not the one assembling this team, so it doesn't matter what I think
  7. Welcome to Lewis Blackbird and now Olly Allen then it seems
  8. Excuse me, but some of us go to watch the team I did last season. I did the season before (even when we were in the same league!) I will openly admit I'm unusual most probably for supporting our neighbours, but I have no shame!
  9. Yes. That is something he still needs help with. Olly Allen anyone? He's one rider that can make a good gate most, if not all of the time! And that's half the battle over with! I try not to compare him with anyone. He's Robert Lambert from a little village in Norfolk He has a long way to go and a lot to learn yet before he reaches that stage. I know some don't like his attitude, even now, so hopefully he will mature over the years and learn from any mistakes he may make along the way. With any young adult, he needs a bit of guidance.
  10. Good to see Robert Lambert has signed for Peterborough Doing some PL racing will certainly help his development further I think. He'll have a fair few tracks to try and get used to that's for sure!
  11. I think people are thinking Dilger might be back due to the fact that Rathbone apparently sponsors him. I'd hope that that connection is not taken into account as Dilger is one of the last people I'd want back there! There's got to be someone else out there better than that!
  12. Oh blimey! Please not...Dilger Anything but that!
  13. We'll soon find out where Todd Kurtz is going. Somerset announce their full side later tonight it seems. He might end up remaining there for another season. And no one should get their hopes up over Robert Lambert just yet either...
  14. Lynn have had the credit card type season tickets for years and they always required a photo as far as I'm aware. But then again, not all clubs operate such things in the same way. I suppose that could be considered a security check of sorts, yes! I didn't know that was what happened, but then again, why would I? As I've never been a season ticket holder for Peterborough Yes, that is a fair point with regards to the photo cost. I mean, the season tickets last year were a steal I thought, but I knew I couldn't make all of the home meetings, so decided to not bother with one. I like the fact that the parking and programme were included and that that's continuing for this year. I'm not sure how much will be saved this year by buying a season ticket as the on the day prices haven't been announced yet...or have they? Lynn don't really give much incentive for me to want to buy one of theirs. Normally you have one free meeting and that's it. It normally only covers the regular league meetings and doesn't stretch to include the play offs. And it doesn't include a programme. So, what's the incentive? Zero to me!
  15. When I used to bother with a King's Lynn season ticket, they always required a photo to put on the season ticket, so that isn't unusual.
  16. Nah! Think I'd rather see someone else at reserve Ollie Greenwood did OK last year...and Adam Roynon should do better at reserve compared to racing in the top 5!
  17. Happy to see that the Panthers will race on into 2015 at least Think you could be slightly wrong there myself I hope I'm right and you're wrong anyway!
  18. Thanks guys! I hadn't seen that as I don't exactly come on here on a daily basis to read and/or post anything these days... I just hope they run as it would seem mad to not run for the sake of £5,000 as SCB said previously.
  19. That was my thought exactly! After seeing Mark Plummer say yesterday on Twitter that the club could be about to close, I put it to him that surely, regardless of whether they've got the full £40,000 by the end of tomorrow or not, that the club could just declare an intent to run and find the remaining money over the next few months if needs be? Plummer's reply: don't think club or BSPA would allow that situation. Either need to be in a position to race, or not. My reply: But if 35k has already been cashed in, what's going to happen to that money if the target isn't met? Plummer's reply: it will be returned. Returned? Seriously? If they'd still got, for example, £20,000 to find, I think that'd be another matter entirely. But, they have most of the funds that they were looking for! It seems silly to throw in the towel now after so much time and effort has been put in to get this far. Just my view of course. I am very surprised (but happy!) that they've raised so much cash in such a short space of time.
  20. I think all monies had to be in by this coming Thursday (27th November). I thought I'd seen that stated on Facebook just recently anyway?
  21. I must confess, I was surprised! I never expected anyone to notice me there really, but then again, with my face being on show on here, it's not hard for people to recognise me as my look never changes
  22. Hope the rest of the money can be found over these next few days. Bit of a delayed post, but nice of bigcatdiary to make himself known to me at the fans event last month Let's hope the Panthers can race on into 2015 and beyond!
