  1. Because he'd missed the 2 mintues in the re-run. Belle Vue deserved the win last night, happy with the point gained by Swindon. Still all to race for
  2. It'll be a joint decision based on the forecast...nothing to do with the score line last time out. Same option Coventry had and probably wished they had taken when Poole were in town on Sky!
  3. I'm definitely not wrong on this one....rent is chargeable once public are admitted. I believe there is a nominal charge on food in the restaurant if it gets past 4pm
  4. There's no Rent until the turnstiles open at 6:30pm and I very much doubt they get money back on booked flights that are not taken at extremely short notice - would need to be called off the day before for any saving there. How's your weather doing :-)
  5. His mechanic had left his kevlars in the workshop and so Batch leant him a set of his
  6. If that gain means getting into the Playoffs then quite possibly, yes. People have changed their tune very quickly from 'we need changes...NOW' to 'Oh, maybe we're not that bad'...even between Monday and Thursday. If we want to make playoffs then we need to win away. To win away we need a change and this looks like the only option
  7. Poole are usually Swindon's biggest draw also.....Swindon v Poole is £10 on 13th July
  8. Indeed, the scoring system is much better and one of the more positive changes. Only half of meetings carried a bonus point on them whereas all meetings now have that point available. As Grachan has said above...preferred the staggered points for the home win by less/more than 7
  9. Agreed....I'd take any win personally to get some momentum back
  10. Exactly my thoughts....I think people are giving Rosco a little too much credit in the stats department on this occasion. Still, it keeps people talking
  11. So...in hindsight (wonderful thing)...would have been better off leaving AM in and using guests throughout to keep his average available. Swindon now not allowed the facility they would have been if they had just done nothing. Strange old sport
  12. Would you for the 50% increase for PL racing?
  13. Not from what I've seen http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655321
  14. I think they have for March, April & May to avoid/cut risk of rain offs (if you can ever do that in this country). But 6 fixtures scheduled for June by the looks of it, considering the World Cup takes out a good week, that seems to be ramping it up.
  15. 1. Poole 2. Kings Lynn 3. Belle Vue 4. Coventry 5. Swindon 6. Lakeside 7. Leicester 8. Wolverhampton
  16. Doyle is on Swindon's for the time being. Jonasson is not
  17. The restrictions are part of that seven figure deal, always have been. Youtube, Facebook etc, they can all be seen as competitors to Sky - Youtube even paid a significant sum for Cricket rights previously so could be seen as in direct competition. Their stance would be, why are we paying this money for exclusive rights when others can seemingly get it for Free.
  18. Costs of production only? That's another fabrication that seems to have come from this forum only. Seven figure sum per year into the Sport
  19. My apologies, I meant 7 figure sum :-) And I doubt there's anyone anywhere charging a 40% rate....may want to check up on that fantasy figure. I admit they have their faults, as do most in the sport. But the constant bashing and fabrications do get a little ridiculous.
  20. Each contract is different. Speedway is incredibly lucky to have a television deal in the first place - many assumed the Sport wouldn't this time last year. Football would have a lot more bargaining power with their rights!! And for absolutely no return? A seven figure sum per year when most thought a deal wouldn't be done is hardly to be sniffed at in my opinion. You think the Sport would be better off without that income so long as it could post videos online?
  21. I'll say it once more :-) it would be a breach of contract between BSPA & SKY - so you'd more likely get a request from Go Speed to prevent BSPA being sued or going for breach of contract by Sky.
  22. I've no idea what could take a couple of years to put in place - my response was more to the sentence "How many clubs will have gone under between now and when get their act together?" Many more Clubs would have already gone under had it not been for the substantial revenue generated for the Sport by Go Speed. Ah, that makes sense then. This project that will take 2 years to move along is non-existent then.
  23. What is it exactly that they're holding up again, or are you just ranting for the sake of it? As I understand their primary objective is to secure and manage television rights for British Speedway in UK & Overseas, and as I see it they haven't done too bad. I have in fact read somewhere that without Terry Russell there would be zero income from TV Revenue as nobody else within Speedway would have got a TV deal this time around. If you are again ranting that Clubs cannot post their videos and footage to every single social media site going, then read previous posts - this would be against the TV contract, and without that TV income many more Clubs would not be operating at the level that they are.
  24. No, because Sky are the only ones with rights to any and all recorded footage. DVD Companies are allowed to operate under that agreement - selling DVD's only. My understanding is that Clubs are allowed to use video clips etc on their own websites - but any 3rd party could be deemed to be in competition with Sky - and so any uploading of footage would go against the Sky agreement and not an issue of spite!! Believe it or not - the .co domain was not down to Go Speed despite popular belief. The only directive was that Official Club websites were hosted on one server and were not owned by any 3rd Parties.
