Whatever happens, Jack, hopefully we've stirred up a bit of interest in the mag, which can't be all bad, eh? -

As long as I'm still breathing, my next trip over your way should coincide with the SGP being held in Polska! Meanwhile, don't forget if you're gonna do Auckland in March, the next weekend is the final of the Sidecars Grand Slam at Gillman! -

Following on from that I'd reckon Poland 2014 - YES! -
I don't know as to how I'm the expert, 5FURROW's your man for all the lurks & perks, but I had a ball at Gorzow - the warmth and friendliness of the young ladies "selling cherries" by the roadside was most welcome, and very cheap too, even late at night in the park opposite my hotel! I can recommend the Qubus Hotel and the Sphinx Restaurant nearby; the stadium was within walking distance and a joy to visit, and everyone I spoke to was happy to meet me - "Australie - Jason Crump!" seemed to be all the English most of them possessed, and coupled with my sign language - - we got on real well!

Already heard from a few Pomgolian mates on their way over - bring it on! Know-All Tours are supposed to be coming - NZ better lock up their sheep! If you're planning a trip don't forget it's the final round of the Sidecars Grand Slam series at Gillman on April 7th, well worth the extra few days. Check the Gillman site. -

It's actually a Magpie Goose, Nigel, and the Goose Season's open in the NT - no goose is safe, especially with heavily-armed alcoholic drug abusers wandering around loose, so maybe you'd better stay at home. -

What insults? I don't know what you're on, mate but you can keep it - I have enough problems following your misspelt ungrammatical rant as it is. You have no evidence, just an opinion which you seem to think we should accept as fact purely on your say so - life's not like that. -
So you'd rather new members be allowed to post anything wherever they like, rather than follow existing protocols? It'd be akin to starting a Coventry thread in the NL section - come to think of it........

If you knew Hoskins made the remark why ask me to clarify it? Unlike you, Norbold, I don't claim to know what other people are thinking. Ask Nigel. I'm not trying to defend anything, Norbold. I posted a statement by Ian Hoskins - you seem to have adopted a 'Shoot the Messenger' approach - I think your retirement may have contributed to your rapid decline in debating skills. As for me, while I don't claim to be the fount of all knowledge like yourself, or pretend to have done lots of research while facetiously asking other people to prove one's own points, at least I've been to Maitland and seen the evidence with my own eyes. -

NZ have a promoter with a lot of money. Ole Olsen's out here every year working on an Australian round, but after Dave Lander's experience being ripped off rotten by the FIM there aren't too many queuing up. -

If you took the time to actually read my post you'd notice I was quoting Ian Hoskins, rather than making a statement, so your argument is pettyfogging at best. But olddon didn't say that, did he, Norbold? More red herrings. So you've been to Maitland then, oh much-travelled one? Had to be a Nigel. More red herrings from someone too lazy to do his own research. -

Haven't you got Google on your 'puter, Norbie? If so, then may I respectfully suggest you extract your preferred digit and flamin' well look it up, cuz. I'm not the British Flamin' Museum! -

I don't think you've grasped the reasons behind the expansion, Humphrey - the NZGP will be the start of the season, hardly disrupting anything, and more rounds will increase exposure to a worldwide market equalling more advertising dollars. -
No Worries Cuz - do you follow what I'm on about regarding new members' postings being checked? - a system like that could have saved any unpleasantness and possible embarrassment.

I just don't see why this has been posted here rather than in the GP section, unless it's from someone with an axe to grind.

Jade Mudgway for Wild Card? Give Mudga a guernsey! -
Shouldn't this be in the GP & SWC section? It's got nothing to do with the Elite League. Maybe just another anti-Poole anti-Aussie thread from a disgruntled loser, perhaps? Yet another example why new members should have their first ten or so posts moderated before being posted I reckon. As things stand at the moment anyone can come on here and post whatever rubbish they like, anonymously, and get away with it.

I'd take the Tuesday off as well and maybe leave a day earlier - flying long distances does strange things to the body. Just gotta come up with some dollars now! -
From Ian Hoskins: To those who are looking for me to defend the attacks upon my father, Johnnie Hoskins, I have done so in my next article for Classic Speedway. The issue is due out on October 14th and I am glad to see that there are other critics who rise to his defence as a pioneering speedway promoter apart from myself. I put it this way- if an un-named person allowed a field to be used by some motor cyclists to do a few circuits in 1920, what is the point in calling him the pioneer promoter of speedway if he never followed up by staging weekly events before the public as Johnnie did in 1923? Speedway should have a birthdate to be recalled by riders and the public like football and cricket have. Johnnie gave such a date and promoted it boldly. He introduced broadsiding, cinder tracks, safety fences, rules of racing and peronality riders. He followed up by promoting at Newcastle, Sydney and Perth in 1927. He was a promoter in every sense of the word. I rest my case here and have more to say in my Classic article. Ian Hoskins. I'm sure everyone who's been to Maitland and seen the commemorative plaque under the Grandstand would agree - this is the birthplace of Motorcycle Speedway and Johnnie Hoskins was the Godfather.

I'd ignore the pathetic attempts of our brigade of urine-extractors if I were you cuz, if all they can do is knock anything and everything. I'd suggest there are a few more Aussies in the wings than the ones you've mentioned - Batch is committed to having a pop at the GP Challenge next year for one, and I'm sure Rory and Davey will give it another shot, plus there are plenty like Nick & young Cam who'll be taking the next step up shortly, including Taylor Poole & Todd Kurtz. We've seen plenty in the past who've shone at Junior level but been unable to go on - Leigh Adams & Joe Screen, to name but two. While I can't see Darcy not becoming a senior champion fortune has a way of conspiring against the best. They have no life, Parsloes; it wouldn't be fair to begrudge them the only enjoyment they have in anonymously slagging off people who stand head and shoulders above them, plus we can pity them at the same time, the poor things - let's face it, they're definitely from the shallow end of the gene pool.

A master - especially of the ol' 'Teaspoon of Nitro in the Methanol' trick, and definitely one of my heroes.
