  1. No worries - excuse me for a moment while I just go and strangle my informant - no more Fush 'n Chups for him!
  2. I was under the impression it was being used solely as a Rugby training centre during the RWC, PHILIP; of course as well as Speedway & Concerts it's also home to the famous Ponsonby Rugby Club.
  3. It's a commonly used abbreviation down here, MP, particularly among the Diaspora of Kiwis in Oz. It's still a mess; whole families are moving away from the devastated city - some to the North Island, some over here. Western Springs promoter Bill Buckley is a man on a mission, and I hope for his sake, and for his Country's, he can bring this off. There is little doubt that IMG/BSI are working together with Bill: he was their guest at Cardiff and he and Paul Bellamy have been working together ever since to attempt to overcome the innumerable problems that exist. In case you weren't aware, one of the reasons why there aren't any earlier dates available is that there's no track there at the moment; it's been grassed over for RWC and a new track will be laid when that's finished. Great Stadium, by the way; I saw not only Speedway but also Fleetwood Mac & the Beach Boys there in the 70s. I think a few NIMBYs were whingeing about the noise then as well - plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose!
  4. I'm sure I heard a reference to this Saturday's 125cc meeting this morning on the SKY telecast. Well Done to all associated with the Juniors Titles - the Heroes of Tomorrow.
  5. ......I might have to mug someone mate, due to the Global Economic Downturn my 'Insurance' premiums are way down.
  6. I should have put a smiley after my comment on Bomber's score, Henry. Alas most of Rory's high scores of late seem to have come on tracks that are difficult to master, rather than so-called 'proper racers tracks' like EOES, Brandon and Wimborne Rd - er, hang on a minute!
  7. I think it'll be the top eleven at the end of the comp, three qualifiers and Darcy. Can't see Bomber not getting a guernsey; he scored the same as Tomasz on Saturday night.
  8. NZ is still struggling economically in the aftermath of CHCH but does have a financial fairy godfather so it could just happen; Australia won't go ahead in the near future without significant state or federal government backing, and the Sport of Speedway just doesn't have that financial pull (at the moment - an Aussie World Champion might help).
  9. I knew I was stoned this morning, but not THAT stoned!
  10. Mate, some folks' glasses are always half empty - if you had a dozen overtakes per heat they'd complain about too much passing. in the final was a four lap duel - it doesn't get much better than that. As far as my internal fuel level goes, when I get down to 1/4 of a tank I head for the nearest Servo - in my case the fridge next to the bar.
  11. Is there a time limit? A good set tonight. All 4 back - to my place! So'm I last time I checked me pulse!
  12. I've got him with one win & one third, steve. Edit - got it right at last! 5 for 5 it is!
  13. Looks like we've got a meeting at Atlanta - Go Marcos!
  14. I'll be up for the Atlanta race (12.30am Darwin time), so I may as well follow Elitserien on the laptop - anybody got any feeds?
  15. As long as it's not Big Top! What a Circus that'd be with youse clowns! PS Punter's just had a bowl v Sri Lanka, rolling over his offies and bowling well!
  16. Will you be Camping? Målilla's a bit Beyond the Black Stump in terms of accommodation.
