  1. Have you been taking Spelling Lessons from SCB?
  2. Hmm, right, so yer'll be needing a Native Guide no doubt! Anyhow, Newcastle's not far from Sydderney, train ride's very pretty, then fly to Milly via Melbourne is the easiest way - http://iwantthatflight.com.au/ - that's for cheapo flights - and Gilly is just down the road - by Oz standards that is!! Oh, and watch out for any Australian BSF members - totally untrustworthy bunch of Pi$$heads!! You want Taxi from Airport?? I take you Scenic Route!! You'll probably need Drinking Lessons as well; I'm sure I can help here, just practise saying "Would yerz like a Crownie, Dave" until ya get it right!!
  3. Congrats to the Danes (Grumble Grumble Whinge Whinge) and Commiserations to the remaining Finalists. Here's hoping Jason's OK. PS At least the Mighty Richmond Tigers had a win, thrashing the Bombers by 4 points, oh and the Wallabies beat the Jaapies 2 tries to nil, so its not all DOOM & GLOOM!!
  4. Bl**** Hell, Steve! Your spelling's almost as bad as SCB's!! There's an "S" in Australia!! Mind you I can see your problem with dropping letters - 'specially since the Rs' dropped out of Geat Bitain!!
  5. Forgot to put me tips in didn't I! 1/.Australia by a country mile. 2/. Denmark 3/. Poland 4/. Sweden (Sorry Freddie!)
  6. Onya Zetters!! Yep, all the usual suspects are there again, and over it all looms the shadow of the Track - I wonder which team it will suit the best? As long as we get good racing I'll be happy; regards to all me mates who've made it to Vojens. GO OZ
  7. Thanks for that mate, - looks like Justin is just too tall for 80ccs, I expect he'll go straight to 500s this Oz season. A lot of very promising juniors will be going up as well so the qualifier for Ozchamps 2009 should be a ripper, they might have to run another qualifier just to get in. Did you catch up with the Sedgemen clan?
  8. Ah, yes, the arcane workings of a Woman's Brain! Lucky we ain't got one, eh, boys!!
  9. Fair call about the rule, Wabbs, but its there for all teams to exploit - OOOOps - I mean take advantage of - OOOOps Should be a great night THURSday!!
  10. Dunno about the "Voice of Reason", sounds to me like someone had a few bob on Poland!
  11. From the New York Times: "The Poles say, not without a certain pride, that they are the only ones ever to occupy the Kremlin. That was in the early 17th century, almost 200 years before Napoleon and 300 before Hitler failed in their attempts to do so. In Moscow not long ago, the national day celebration was switched from Nov. 7, commemorating the Bolshevik Revolution, to Nov. 4, when the Russians rid the Kremlin of the hated Poles. Poles talk about Russians the way anti-Semites talk about Jews" All together now - Neighbours, everybody needs good Neighbours.............
  12. You, Sir, are a Class Act. Good Onya, M8!! Doncha love Speedway??
  13. HMMM - correct me if I'm wrong, DB, but I would have thought there'd be some low-down bar or clip joint in some seedy quarter of town that'd have Sky (Is the Dirty Duck still next to the Market?) and whose Publican could be persuaded to put it on on the promise of not having a future which includes eatin' corn-on-the-cob with NO ******* TEETH, and let's face it if yer on here yer can log on to Updates ferforkssake.
  14. My money's on Pamela Anderson. Spot on Subby me ol' Mongol M8, I can't wait to see the tape of this meeting. Anyone who complains about the standard of racing has obviously never been to SWC. Standouts for me have usually been the Play-off meetings - last year at Leszno(?) a case in point, while the Play-off at Poole in '04 was a ripper, even if Oz did lose out. Deffo coming over for it next year, whether its Poland or Pomgolia; I'm afraid I'm a member of the "Anywhere but Denmark" brigade or I'd be there now. (Plus the fact I'm piston broke again ).
  15. I would have thought what with it being on Sky, live on the Internet and all the scores on Updates some over-zealous people might have actually REFRAINED from posting during a meeting for once.
  16. Just thought I'd whack the results on so's I can enjoy the Gloating better; some of you anti-Aussies really need to get a life. GO OZ!! Australia = 56 1. Jason Crump 3, 1, 2, 2, 3 = 11 2. 17. That's our OZ Under-16 Champ for ya!! Well Done Arthur!! Congratulations to Mikkels 1 & 2, too!. I'm sure we'll be hearing more of these boys.
  18. I'll gloss over that anti-Aussie slur you Pommy *******, , but fully agree that SWC is the Tops in Speedway Entertainment.
  19. Enormous talent Iris, helped by great machinery built by former King of Darwin Sidecars Phil "Crazy" Mackay. You should see the little ****** handle a sidecar! Fingers crossed we can keep him interested in Speedway but whatever discipline he chooses (No, not the Max Mosley style!!) he's a Champ in the making for sure. Spiderweb put me onto watching him last year and each time I've seen him since he just amazes me, but that's the joy of meetings like this; spotting the up-and-comers. Any others worth looking out for? (apart from Alex, Justin et al OZ!!) PS a quick query - Arthur finished equal on points with the second-place getter but beat him in the heats - was there a run-off?
